The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yup, agree Stuart, think Ive forgotton the major screw up at the start  , but even though BFG couldnt be arsed would Wenger have dropped him? Cant see that myself.

Also Kos wasnt good with his achiles tendonitis so doubly stupid.

Arsene didnt have a plan and the board kept quiet   :banghead:

Cech could play out of his skin for every single game but the fella can't score goals at the other end (although he can't be any worse than what we have) and there is no way he will make up a 15-20 point deficit.

Man City, chavski, and manure all look stronger, and pool will run us close, tbh I've lost interest and only knew about cl draw by visiting this site, I certainly won't be paying to go and watch a second rate team led by a man who should have retired gracefully a few seasons back. Shame really as a brother and sister of mine go quite a bit and I would like to join them but it just irks me when I see the likes of giroud and welbeck up front and such an unbalanced team.

I feel very vexed when I think of The Arsenal and that just isn't right, of course I blame you cunnts on here for most of that  , your constant bleating is catching on :?

Anyone got any rumours about impending signings pleeeeeeaaaaase.....

There is though a consolation this weekend in that our friends from Chester le street are coming to stay with us today through till Tuesday and my mate is a makem, so we can just get pissed and forget football altogether (well our teams) :barscarf:

Lefty has finally come over to the dark side      :barscarf:

I shall now be known as Darth"Lefty"Vader :barscarf: yes yes that could be daft

Or Daffy fucking Duck!

But we both know old buddy, you will now be known as Darth Ewok. 8)

Tbf that's a compliment on this forum

Still I read so many posts on other forums saying 'Wenger is playing his cards close to his chest....poker face etc....'

Nope, he just doesn't want to buy, more he feels he doesn't have to.

So infuriating that, after the latest cup win, and the buzz of the run at the end of last season and even the signing of Cech, we didn't make the statement of intent and beef up the defensive midfield and striker positions. This season could go as the biggest missed opportunity...

I don't agree.

I think he does want to buy but is looking for very specific targets and is willing to gamble on them becoming available.

Presumably, those targets didn't include Schnierderlin and Jackson Martinez which is fine as long as you then purchase better players.

At the moment, this summer is looking like a balls up of epic proportions as the players he felt he could get appear to have fallen through and left us scratching around to see if we can pull something out of the hat. :?

If that's the case then he's quite right to keep our money in his pocket if he can't find an upgrade... but that doesn't excuse the fact we had 3 months to get deals done.

It wouldn't surprise me if Coquelin's stats beat the living shit out of Matic, Busquets, etc.

How could they not? - we play so ridiculously open and expect Coquelin to do all the fire fighting hence his high stats in interceptions and tackles.

Busquets and Matic can't compete with that because Barca don't lose possession like we do and when they do, they work as a team to win it back; whereas Chelsea defend as a unit (apart from at Citeh   ) so Busquets and Matic are part of a unit and not a one man band like poor Coq

I wonder if DB10 has any thought on stats? :rubchin:

Given the last 12 years can you give any rational reason for believing this? I think you're in the denial stage. Move on to acceptance.
