McDowell its over dude...no more - Hallelujah

So with 1 month to go in the transfer window and 235 pages later lets sum up the transfer action to date....

RVP might be going and we've signed Giroud as his replacement. Podolski has also signed but we cant stretch to the alleged £11m required for M'Vila.

A couple of shit players have gone but many remain- whys Bendtner still here????

Thats it folks

@sidlowe: Some final points. It's not Cazorla or Sahin. Arsenal want both. They're confident on both too. Cazorla agreed terms w/ Arsenal already. (1)

@sidlowe: If/when this deal done I'd love to know how Arsenal pay. Malaga could do with cash up front. Not really Arsenal's (or anyone's) way.

@sidlowe: Here's a phrase I don't understand: "Tmrw Malaga will accept Arsenal's offer". Doesn't that effectively mean they already have?

@sidlowe: From @davidhytner Arsenal still want Spain's Santi Cazorla despite Málaga's debt dilemma http://t.co/asVRqoWP via @guardian

You said it yourself mate, 1 month still to go. Even City are having to sell before they buy. It's not all as clear cut as the media would like you to think.

Maybe we discussed this before rigsby, but is this a good deal in your opinion ? I'm a guy that tries to keep up with european football but in recent years (since kids and self employment came along) I find myself more out of touch than I would like therefore I'm not clued in enough to voice an opinion either way re the potential signing(s) of cazorla/sahin. Again I will say that my real gripe is the fact that we should be targetting a proper DM but aside from that, is cazorla strong enough for english football ? Will his lack of height be a real issue in a physical league ?

Cazorla is actually pretty strong - solid low centre of gravity, very good passer, great close control (whisper it - somewhat Hlebbish in that respect), totally two-footed and extremely versatile - can play anywhere in midfield

would be a hugely exciting signing IMO (which makes me fear it won't happen)

augie onCazorla he's a very talented player at the right age. I'm actually quite shocked we'll get him (if we do) as I would have thought a few other clubs would have been after him. With Jack some way away from a return, and Diaby a constant threat of being out, this would be the creative player to properly replace Cesc. Of course it may take him 6 months to settle, but that's always a risk with new players.

Sahin I've not seen much of If I'm honest, but I've heard very good things. Can' say I'm an expert on him though.

Cazorla is world class, best player in La Liga outside the top 2 and the most two-footed player you'll see. Utterly chuffed we're getting him. :barscarf:
