All the names mentioned seem like massive panic signings. None of them are good enough, and none of them will make a significantly positive impact.

why doesn't he just buy players with proven ability and experience - and it will make a statement to the other clubs, not constantly buying unknowns hoping one day they will be good and then fuck off to a club that will pay there big wages

I'd wait and see on this Santos guy. I know BG says he cant defend.

But lets be honest, Clichy couldnt defend or attack. Traore is the same and a waster. And Gibbs cant defend and is always injured.

This guy at least will be an upgrade. Its all about coaching, tactics and our system! Winterburn would look vulnerable in this system with no protection!

All I'm saying is Brazil LB is alot better than what we currently have. And most LBs out there now are fucking shite anyway.

Leighton Baines, is a big name now, the guy can barely defend either!

True. At least Arsene has improved the LB situation.

I doubt we are going to get any real quality in before the transfer window closes - I just get the feeling these next few days are going to be a last minute scramble, with us getting fleeced for leftover unwanted players. Wouldnt surprise me if we sign a WestHam/ Liverpool/ Chelsea reject soon - thats how far our status has plumetted
