Arsenal have told Roma to increase their bid for striker Gervinho. Roma have offered £6.8m and Arsenal want £8.6m.augie wrote:You really couldnt make shit like this up![]()

This from a club that are so tight arsed when it comes to buying players it goes way beyond the point of embarassing![]()

We are not gonna get rid of this caaant - the only club showing any interest in signing the donkey and we feel that we should screw them on the deal

On a seperate issue about this deal it does worry me that they are trying to include a striker in the deal - we allowed celta vigo to do that a few years ago in the silvinho deal and we had to endure a number of years watching the c.unt that is almunia in goals as a result![]()

A number of papers this morning have resurrected the cesar to Arsenal rumours - I'm not sure why cos there are no quotes from either club and nothing seems to have changed about the situation
Let's hope they don't increase their bid to £7.1m. Then we'll look a bit silly.

What a fuck up of a window...
I'm sorry but everyone keeps bringing these same excuses up to defend a player they were probably wanting to be extradited last season, but it's no comparison to being a racist scumbag who bites players
I'm not in the suarez bashing camp or anything but I do laff when I hear fans defend his potential signing by pointing out the sins of former players..........haven't you guys ever heard of goodwill ? Those Gooner Legends had served our club with outstanding distinction over a long period of time and as a result will have thousands of Gooners everywhere defend them and their sins to their dying days - suarez hasn't played for us, never showed his total commitment to our club and is as yet undeserving of our unconditional support so if ye are going to support his potential signing and defend his character then please do so without bringing those Gooner legends into the situation
Agreed 100%. Also, not one of those "crimes" is anywhere near as bad as being a racist crunt that BITES people. Not even the same ball park for fucks sake.

perfectly expressed - saved me tryingBradywasking wrote:We shouldn't sign Suarez because, he will miss the first six games, because he will be targeted by referees and media, he is doing to the club that stood by him what many players done to us, and we despised them for it. We shouldn't sign Suarez because he is a racist, a cheat and obviously one who hasn't learned from his past misdemeanors (possibly because he doesn't want to) .
I crave big names and success as much as you and I recognise that Giroud etc are proven to be not up to the task , but I would not want Luis Suarez in the club I support.
I agree 100%

I, like you, want us to sell Gervinho. It looks like we will. We should get as much as possible for him.
Especially if we're going to be overpaying for Bernard.
BTW Pablo Osvaldo is a decent striker but another nutter - punched a team mate, went mental at his coach for being benched in the cup final, boycotted end of season awards...
he's also very handsome - him and Giroud would be the most devastatingly sexy strikeforce in the Prem.
Maybe the world

Suarez may be an Odious Toady - but him, Jack the Lad and Santi in the same team IS mouth watering...
Also if IF wenker doesn't make at least One HUGE Significant signing this time - we can definitely say goodbye to one of Football's Brightest Future stars....

I like the tackle at 1:15seconds into the vid... Jack says Ave a Bit O THAT! in his own inimitable way

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
If it was up to me Gervinho would have been out hitchhiking on Holloway Road since last summer with a signed agreement that we'll let him go for free - that's how desperate I am that some prick takes him off our hands.
Wenger in one of his hissy fits last year insisted we only paid 8 mil for him so if he possibly thinks he's increased in value during his time here then he's more insane than I thought.

The fact that we're focusing solely on Suarez makes me nervous tbh. We have a lot of other positions and areas that need addressing, if the Suarez deal falls on it's arse (as it well could) then we're totally fucked and left with nothing at the end of the window.
Arsenal can't multi-task it seems.

This is Wenker we're talking about remember - He with a certificate in financial studies obtained from a weetabix box, the genius who gave ramsey a 5 year contract extension with an increase in wages after he showed how utter shyte he had become since his injury, the one who missed out on signing Juan Mata because he haggled over £5k a week, - yeah that's him....he who thinks his way is the only way while the world revolves in the opposite direction.....

Arsenal can't multi-task it seems.
we need:
A Goalie (A proper one not a chopsy arrogant twat who can't keep his mouth shut and who thinks he is the second coming and yet makes vital errors in his distribution and in his relationship with his defenders)
A Centre Back ( Someone who can move faster than the Mert - can stay fit (unlike our glorious captaIn) and can be decisive and lead from the back in the Big games)
A Right Back (who can do what Lauren and Dixon used to do without breaking into a sweat - Run the flanks, Defend and take no prisoners)
A Holding Mid-fielder (Who can learn from Arteta, and step in at a moments notice when his legs are shot, who can interlink with the genius of Jack and Santi - AND Munch any fecker from the oppo!)
Oh! and a new Manager!
THEN we could consider signing Suarez...

Jack can be a superstar - IMO needs double figures this season to progress at the expected level
Bard, do you not rate Bac?
He had an up and down season, some very poor games but a few great ones too...
I think he's one of our best players and probably our 4th choice CB.
My pref would be him signing a new contract.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
If Liverpool are backed into a corner by Suarez's demand to leave, it will be down to the player where he goes.
I can't see Arsenal going any higher than the reported bid of £40m, they know there are other equally important areas they need to strenghthen.
I think Real are using us as a stalking horse, the moment Liverpool show any inclination to sell Madrid will be interested, their procrastination on Higuain may have even been in hope Arsenal will sniff around Suarez.
No doubt Liverpool would prefer him to go to Madrid, and not their challengers for 4th spot.
Real will match any offer from us, so its Suarez's call if given the green light.
I wonder who he would prefer to play alongside, Ronaldo or Ramsey? Benzema or Podolski?
Or who would he like to see behind him as a defensive unit? The BFG, Koscielny, & Szczęsny, or Ramos, Arbeola, & Iker Casillas? (count the winners medals).
As for the ambition of his new club, Real have brought in Isco, Arsenal have splashed out on Sanogo.
His coach could be Ancelotti, 4 main club trophies in the past 6 years (including ECL) plus a few minor ones, or Wenger, 8 straight top 4 placings since 2005, but no notable cups.
Tough choice for him.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
lots of forwards might prefer Wenger to Ancelotti - he has been credited by two of the best strikers in history with making their careers.
He was also a massive influence on the career of the current best striker in our league.
Given the choice Suarez will go to Madrid.
The reasons I'd put behind in are more simple than yours: bigger club, higher wages, mother tongue

I'm getting more and more sure that Arsenal have a free run at signing Suarez which is why we're still after him.
