It just looks like Sanchez will provide more competition for Giroud and the wide players because of his versatility. Where would Ballotelli fit into that? Knowing how Wenger hates to give too much competition to players, I just can't see this happening.

Can't see Khedira, Ballotelli & Ospina all being true. Even for the most far fetched of imaginations...

Pretty much my sentiment although I think Ospina is prob true. Wenger will not kill Wilshere & Ox.

Ospina is actually looking likely but the other two are players who'd be looking at being amongst the first names on the team sheet. Khedira would have a shot I suppose but Ballotlelli no way.

What position is that sid ? Are you telling me that khedira would come to us and sit in front of the back 4 ? Do you think that he would be as disciplined positionally as arteta has been ? Khedira has made his name as an all action type of midfielder but that is not what we are looking for imo - every fcuking year our fans have bemoaned the lack of physicality in our team and khedira will not correct that problem. I am a big believer in balance - for BFG's intelligence and organisation you need kos's pace, but likewise with ozil, cazorla, ox and ramsey's skills we need a big powerful DM to provide the muscle and allow our flair players to do their thing. Yes a defensive midfielder needs an ability to anticipate danger, but playing in a physical league he needs to be able to win those tackles with physical strength when it is needed too and as much as I like and respect arteta, asking him to do that job was folly on le cock's behalf[/quote]

It's posts like this I dont understand, you say Khedira wont be able to show dicipline and do the job required because he is known for an all action style but then praise Arteta for showing this dicipline when we signed him as an attacking player and had previously never played this role.

It's a little bit of a contridiction of your own view don't you think?

May aswel try for Felliani to make you happy, he offers all that you want.

As Chippy and Gunnersaurus have said Khedira ain't gonna want to play the limited game sitting in front of the back 4 if he was to join. I also personally couldn't see Wenger wanting to employ him in that role either, and if Khedira has bigger ideas Wenger isn't going to stand him away especially given what Song got away with.

I've championed the clever DM who anticipates danger rather than the Hollywood tackler but from what I've seen of Khedira he doesn't really fit in this bracket. More of a deep-lying playmaker. Brilliant against Brazil who were all over the shop and he could just zip the ball about and help run rings around their haphazard pressing game and work it forward to Muller and co. Against Algeria when he was asked to sit whilst the other midfielders went forward he was a second to slow to see every move and when he wasn't getting skinned or committing fouls that would earn him a yellow in the PL he was being bailed out by Schweinsteiger.

When did Khedira say he wants to join Arsenal?

According to some verified journo on twatter, Balotelli is 'close' to signing.

His attitude stinks but you know what, it will be a fucking laugh with him if it happens. At least he will keep Giroud on the bench which is the main priority.

When did Khedira say he wants to join Arsenal?
he probably mentioned it in one of the 33 rumours that now say the move is back on and will be announced on Monday.
As much as I'd like to believe this, I'll wait until I see it on .com.

At 16m that isn't a huge gamble. His biggest problem is his personality but I think Wenger could get something out of him. Wenger has never really fallen out with a player before.
