His greed knows no bounds. It's fucking ridiculous. He's currently talking himself out of a deal with City - the only club with a remote interest. Will AC Milan pick up the pieces if he rejects a 170k per week deal? Of course fucking not!
I fear we'll be stuck with him, it's a very real possibility. And he's got 4 years left on his current deal?

It's horrible to think he wants his LOYALTY bonus after the way he's treated Arsenal over the last 12 months, but what can you do?? it's standard procedure... even for greedy *word censored* like Ade
The fact is, Arsenal probably owe him the money because they allowed him to sign that ridiculous contract last summer.
Many on here thought he should have been sold last summer, and certainly not rewarded with a new contract!!
- and based on his performances over the last 12 months... people like Augie (and many others) were right.
I was wrong... I was pleased he stayed last summer, and I thought that once he'd signed a new deal he would settle down and keep improving. How wrong I was!!!!

[quote="projoe"]Emmanuel Adebayor completes £22m Manchester City move - but holds out for £2m loyalty bonus from Arsenal
[quote]Emmanuel Adebayor last night (tonight) completed his £22million move to Manchester City - but remains locked in a battle with Arsenal over his £2m loyalty bonus.
The Togo striker is adamant he is due the cash from the Gunners because he did not put in a transfer request.
It is a demand that will leave Arsenal fans stunned as it was Adebayor’s apparent lack of commitment that soured their relationship with him.
The 25-year-old hit just 16 goals last season – as he courted the attentions of AC Milan – compared to the season before in which he smashed 30.
Adebayor – who will pick up £170,000-a-week at City – said his goodbyes to the Arsenal players and staff at the Gunners’ London Colney training ground yesterday.
He then travelled to Manchester to finalise the paperwork to complete the deal.
Adebayor’s wages at Eastlands will be around double what he was earning at the Emirates, with his agents set to pick up around £2m for their “servicesâ€

Youre right augieaugie wrote:Maybe he has burnt his bridges with us lethal but the bottom line is that unless a club comes in with an acceptable bid and the c**t actually agrees to go to them then I think we will be stuck with himWithout the money from his transfer we will be unable to buy a different striker and how many of us actually believe that wenger wont play him if he is still here when the league starts or even sept 1st ? I think wenger showed his colours in the paris champs league final.....drop flamini for the judas c**t despite the fact that flamoney had been a star in nthe best ever champs league defence in the run up to that game

Wenger does not come out of this whole saga with any credit. It was him that gave into the Greedy *word censored* last summer when he should have sold him when Milan did want him.It was a sign of weak management from Wenger.Today at Barnet Wenger has to come out and say Greedy will NEVER play for Arsenal again even if he turns down City

Donaldo that will never ever happen as much as we all want it too
We all hoped and prayed this week that the *word censored* would leave us and that it would be the last time he could ever fcuk us over from within the club but just a few short days later it appears he is still screwing us over and I am afraid that he too thinks that wenger will continue picking him should we fail to offload the *word censored* this summer and he then has nothing to lose by sitting tight
It is funny how his concerns about how he might be perceived as greedy in africa seem to have vanished with the 2m loyalty bonus under threat
:awnker:

The scarey thing is that I reckon Wenger probably would still pick him if it fell through.augie wrote:Donaldo that will never ever happen as much as we all want it tooWe all hoped and prayed this week that the c**t would leave us and that it would be the last time he could ever fcuk us over from within the club but just a few short days later it appears he is still screwing us over and I am afraid that he too thinks that wenger will continue picking him should we fail to offload the c**t this summer and he then has nothing to lose by sitting tight
