Incredible. One of the best soundtracks in years. Some styles & sounds on there you would never expect from Daft Punk along with plenty of what they do best...
Daft punk are amazing

Great stuff!

got a good booty which rocks

I disagree.
Nebraska, Born in the U.S.A., Tunnel of Love & Devil´s & Dust are pure quality imo.
Although I have to admit that I am listening to his bootlegs from 1975-1984 most of the time. There are also quality bootlegs from The Ghost of Tom Joad Tour 1996, one of the best recordings is from Brixton Academy.

I was "around" then and went to a lot of clubs, but am a Hip Hop head.
Went to a couple of Acid things, warehouse parties to see what the fuss was about...it got big in Spring 1988. I still have some original Shoom flyers somewhere.
Was a special time, Hip Hop was in a Golden Age, there was a 70's Funk/Soul revival too and pirate radio stations flourished, plus there were loads of record shops that have since closed.

Think shoom flyers may be worth something now mate!
The thing i love about that time was the explosion of new music which came out! Mustve been a wicked time to be out clubbing, just read a book by wayne anthony called class off 88. Its a cronicle of his time as the promoter of a rave called genesis in the late 80s.

Three books might interest you.
'The Soul Stylists" by Paolo Hewitt
and one recommended by Reg Niseth called "The Way We Wore" by Robert Elms.
Not strictly about music, but both about youth fashion in the UK since the war so they do cover music as well.
I would also highly recommend a book called "Street Style" by Ted Polhemus which catalogues most youth music/fashion trends in the UK since the 1970's, and has loads of good photos.

Which album are you listening to?
The Promise, but bought the Collection 73-84. Quite like The Rising.
