as I said I havent seen a replay
but be realistic - there are tangles in crowded boxes - some are given some arent
over a season you expect more to go in your favour at home - fewer away
none in a whole home season is amazing - I would love to see how many other teams have got (I know both sets of Mancs got 9)
but all of this is irrelevant - the penalty not given on RVP was not a tangle, there weren't lots of player sin the box
it was a goal, an open goal, a 100% penalty - a clear obvious blatant penalty that likes of which I've never seen not given to a home team anywhere ever
(PS we were inexcusably shite in the 1st half - this doesnt change the fact that pen HAS TO BE GIVEN)

Well I have seen a fcukin replay and while RVP's was a nailed on pen, so was theirs. Every bit as much nailed on.

no way - I even know the incident
tangles in the box are sometimes given - sometimes not
a push in the back of somebody about to score is obvious from every angle

Just so so annoying.

I have defended our injury situation this year and there is not doubt we have had more than our fair share...again.

But most of our players seem to be <<so want to swear here>> braindead.

How many more times do we have to keep switching off without this being sorted out. I actually quite like Song, but someone earlier posted, something along the lines of "He's created 4 beautiful goals with these chipped passes but cost us 5 times as many with his defensive player" - Would Ferguson have put up with this for so long?

Onto some believe it or not...positives

4-4-2 - When we play this we are awesome. Do you think Wenger noticed it today?
The passion in RvP's play - I reckon he's staying...regardless of the rest of the season

This by the way does not make up for what is surely one of the most depressing seasons in recent memory. I really can't wait for it to be over, so I can concentrate on cricket

Mate it wasn't "a tangle in the box" It was a nailed on shirt pull foul, probably a sending off. Try to watch the replay - you'll see......

doubt I will watch a replay for quite some time tbh...
too pissed off
very interested to see how many home pens other prem sides got (heard ManUre and Shitty got 9 each)

admittedly I havent seen a replay
I think shirt pulls are easy to miss, that push was impossible not to see...

The RvP one was not a pen. The ball came off Gervinho's chest on the way across and he was way offside. I watched it on the Sky highlights and despite the commentary it is very clear it hit him. Replayed it about 4 times just to be sure. Their pen shout was much clearer.

We were shockingly bad.

Wenger is lucky that wasn't the last game of the season today - if we had lost top 4 today then I reckon the bullshit "lap of appreciation" would have been a lively affair

Yes, as they walked around the stadium, they'd be met by a sea of fans looking like this...

I tried to join in and show my appreciation for rvp and a few others but watching wenger walking around smiling and waving at the fans and listening to a few of those same fans chanting his name like retarded braindead sheep tipped me over the edge and I fcuked off as they got to my corner

Just watched Norwich's second goal again........you'll see better defending in an U-12s kickabout.

Did SWL or butcher bring out the infamous banner as Wenger made his way round the stadium... or was the timing not right?

No way I coulda stayed behind for that today. I generally used to hang around for them until a couple of years ago but the groundhog season/same shit different year effect has ground me down. I can't just flick a switch & forgive the previous 90 mins of patheticness in order to clap a few millionaires who would, by the sounds of it, prefer to be elsewhere.

Sure RvP, Arteta, Ox and a couple of other deserve some recognition and respect for dragging us through this shitheap of a season but I would hope that a near empty stadium would send the message that we aren't happy and want things fixed. Of course that's never gonna happen though, two thirds of that bowl seem happy as fuck if they get to see Wenger wave at them or see Song do a little dance.

I was fuming & pissed off at FT today, leaving to get food and beer was a far more attractive option.

live I looked straight at Sian Massey - was sure she would flag for a pen
she did nothing, so it def wasn't given offside
live I thought the ball passed quite far in front of Gervinho

still pretty much amazing to go a whole league season without a home pen
especially when you consider not only how much opposition last 3rd possession we have but how often our players pass in the box when you think they must shoot (Gerv2Rambo today for example)

Plenty to be said, but one thought is that the Song-Ramsey simply is not up to being an effective deep midfield screen for the defence.

Babatunde

Was not much to protest about in 2008. We came very close to the title that season.

Wage bill is high, transfer spending not so high.

The worries for me are continual lack of organisation and team shape.

We need to coach defending and pressing more effectively.
