Through a complicated series of events involving some biscuits I ended up holding a piece of yellow ribbon in my hand as the draw was made, which was hurled across the floor once the draw was made. We've now kissed and made up.

I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve today, we actually have a fucking brilliant chance to win a real trophy :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Let's get a result against the Scum next weekend and then there are two huge games left in our season.

And SSFM, Wenger's fate is hardly going to be dictated by a competition he views as low priority in one season of his nearly two decades. The contract is always going to be there to sign even if we lose to Wigan and finish 5th, it's just a case of whether he's fed up enough to jack it in.

I really don't think we should get too excited yet...

We've still got two very tough games if we're guna win this trophy, we're still a lot further away than a lot seem to think in my opinion

Wenger will be feeling so much pressure now. If he fucks it up surely he's gone. Win-win.

This is fantastic. Thank you Wigan.

No game at any level is a walkover and I don't really expect us to cruise the semi or final if we get there. But let's put it in some context, an FA Cup semi against a team 20 points off the Championship pace with a prospective final against a team 5 points off the drop (or a mid-table League One side) is as good as you can hope for.

The trophy is far from won and if a team has displayed a consistent penchant for bottling the big occasions it's us, but in the grand scheme of things "two very tough games" is stretching it a bit.

On another note it's not only great to see us within touching distance of winning a cup we have a proud history with, it will be great to see us playing at Wembley. I think it's a shit stadium that was a monumental waste of money but 2 games there in the 8 seasons it's been open is shit and we have some wrongs to right from those games!

Surely Wenger can't stick with Flappy as his cup keeper, can he?

Flappy isn't our number 1 keeper and he wants to leave, so surely Chesney (who hasn't won anything himself yet) should be playing at Wembley?

I have a horrible feeling Wenger will choose Flappy though :?

Tomorrows Independant has quotes from Wenger confirming flappy will play.

Yay for us.

I know we have no divine right to win anything (cough, Brum Town, cough) but if we can't win the FA Cup this year then I think I'll gouge out my eyes, perforate my ear drums and disavow all knowledge of football.

We surely cannot bollocks this up, can we? :rubchin:

We've played the big teams to get here: Liverpool, Everton and Coventry, so the reward is plain sailing to the cup, right?

Well who has forgotten the 2011 Carling Cup semi final line-up? Us and 3 also-rans but we managed to balls that one-up.

01/02 didn't he play Richard Wright all the way through and then bring Seaman back for the final?

If I was Szczesny I would be furious. He wouldn't have wanted to miss any games but had to begrudgingly accept it for the lower rounds, but these are games at Wembley for fucks sake. Our biggest game(s hopefully) for years and years and he's playing a ticking time bomb who will be pissing off after the final anyway.

Father Mistical has a nice ring to it, will you also take the vow of chastity?

You are gambling your future that the team that lost 6 3 at the Ethiad will beat the team that won 2 1 at the Ethiad :rubchin:

Thankfully football doesn't work like that.

A great win and a good performance. Giroud was the catalyst for me. The good work by Santi and Ozil was constantly breaking down once they involved Sanogo. The Postman offered no threat and has a pretty poor first touch so even his hold up play was totally inneffective. Giroud made an instant impact, his touch was good and he started to dominate the Toffees CH's a bit in the air. He isn't world class and never will be, but credit where it's due, he was very good on Saturday and took the first goal very well, particularly his movement forward, then step off and then back in for the finish which lost his marker. Usually his movement is poor but that was quality. Should we be looking for a better first striker? Yes. But fair play to him.

I thought Sagna was appalling up until his inch perfect pass for Giroud's goal. I counted at least 6 times he just passed straight to the oppo. A great defender, but going forward his game has really gone downhill IMHO.

I hope Arsene rests the Ox on Tuesday but of course he probably won't. We need Ox fit for the FA Cup - the ONLY trophy we have any chance of winning.

If we do not win the FA Cup because Arsene starts pissing about with the line up then he has to go. this is a real opportunity for us. Of course Wigan will be pumped up after beating the Arab's plaything but let's not forget it was their second string they beat. We should (if Wenger doesn't fuck about) have well and truly enough to put away all three teams left in it.
