As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
If I didn't have a ticket for the final, I cant think of anywhere I would want to watch the game less than the emirates. The pubs will be buzzing for atmosphere and you wont be allowed to take your beers into the stands. That's before we even mention the ridic food and beer prices.
How can they advertise it as "exclusively live"...? Is it not being shown on TV?
Also, makes a huge difference whether they're going to allow people to bring drinks back to their seats. I suspect not...
Yeah I can just imagine there being showers of beer if we score, its not happening imo. In the states they have drinks holders in their stadiums but they don't get into their sport like we do.
No proper details on this live screening at the stadium, so:
1. Do you get a seat allocated or do you have to turn up early for first come, first served
2. If you do need to get there early does that mean 2 hours of fuck all happening other than buying their pissy overpriced beer and crap food?
3. If its like the live screenings in club level is it TV straight off afterwards and the bars close
If they sort this out with some ex-players present, a bit of entertainment, beer being allowed in the seats etc, it could be a decent day

Not clear from the site if its allocated seating but they did say its screens on the pitch. So that means no drinking during the game unless you go to the bar, no change for club level there then!
You know the score with food and beer. Kids on min wage who cant pour a pint or flip a burger to save their lives!
if it were me, id just show up early to 12 pins or any of the pubs on blackstock. i would imagine the atmosphere there to be a lot more like going to an away game.

Lets face it the beer bit is important. Surely its only FA rules that you can't drink at a live event i.e. a Premiership / FA Cup match. We can drink beer watching a screen in club level when its being beamed back but not in a seat outside doing the same thing?

Cant see it happening, imagine all those beer stains on padded seats when a goal is scored. Why the clamour for a bit of comfort, go to a boozer get pissed enjoy the atmosphere.

Couldn't give a shit about the comfort factor.....want to watch it with fellow Gooners but where I can take Mrs SteveO and Junior SteveOs......a decent pub that lets kids in will do !

This was my problem too... hence why I got in early for the Rocket, granted there are better boozers around but many won't accept youngsters.

You are gonna struggle with pubs round the holloway road or fins park area. In theory the bowling alley near the twelve pins would be a good family venue to watch it but I am not sure they want the aggravation. The last time I went in there after footy over a decade ago it was empty. Looks like you haven't got much choice, soon as you go family friendly for a venue you lose the atmosphere of the day imo.
Surprisingly looking at the site this morning, its not sold out yet. Seems like there is a lot of blocks that have seats available, perhaps standby's will get a look in.
