Alexis Alejandro Sánchez

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Rodders may disagree with you.

Whoever do you mean?

I'm worried about our game management of Alexis in so far as there appears be fuck all game management going on with him. Giroud who was sat on his arse the last 3 games suspended comes off while Alexis who played every minute of every game over Christmas and the new year gets 90 minutes again today in a game that was done and dusted in 60.

It was the perfect opportunity to give him a break ahead of City next week but I haven't managed a game in my life so what do I know eh?

To be fair, it's been 7 days since the Hull game and it's another 7 days until Citeh away. When you're playing one game a week I'm not convinced you need game management.

If Citeh was midweek then it would have been wise to protect Sanchez.

It just the manner of his game g88ner that worries me, he busts his arse for the 90 minutes every game unlike most others and I saw absolutely no point in taking off Giroud while leaving Alexis on. He's so vital to us that I would be doing everything to protect him and 90 mins against the orcs is always a gamble.

Running out of superlatives for the bloke - just absolutely different class. What a fucking player, and how lucky we are to have him

He is just phenomenal. The intensity, work rate and instinct of the bloke is unparalleled without Suarez in the league. Jesus Christ he is fucking good.

A few notes for Alexis, if you're reading this...

Is this love that I'm feeling,
Is this the love, that I've been searching for
Is this love or am I dreaming,
This must be love,
'Cos it's really got a hold on me,
A hold on me...

If I had to bite pillow, it would be for Henry.

  Really concerned at how he has dropped off form in recent weeks.

He was about the worst player on the pitch for us last night V Monaco. :|

he was the worst player on the pitch.

The way I see it is, players need a break and not just a physical one. He played in the World Cup too, and he wants to play in every game even if its not in his interest.

When should we rest him?

Theo and Welbeck for the weekend?

It just didn't happen for him last night, maybe was guilty of trying to do too much himself ?
Lost the ball quite often......just one of those nights, unfortunately.

He has been a fantastic example of working hard to the whole team and if only we had more players prepared to match his effort / workrate.

(recently more have put in a shift, which has resulted in winning matches !! )
