TRANSFER SPECULATION - WHO ARE WE LINKED WITH?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This summer, by my count, the media linked us with 105 players, of which only six actually signed(at time of posting, 02:55 am on 1st September.

These were:

Ramsey, Coquelin, Nasri, Bischoff, Silvestre, Ozyakup.

Just goes to show, do not always believe what you read in the papers.
Interestingly (or not, perhaps), we may only have signed 6 players from those 105 listed back in 2008, but we've signed another 5 from that list since...

Podolski
Mertesacker
Henry (on loan)

which means... erm... well, not much really. Perhaps that some deals we were sniffing around back in 2008 took a few extra months (or years) to finally do the deal?
