THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Futher testament to Wengers coaching abilities added to what we already know
Does not review past games
Does not go over specific errors made by players
Gives minimal or repeated team talk
when his players do not attend training he has no idea where they are or when they will be back

Regarding Debuchy the Arsenal reject: from todays Standard

His departure from Arsenal may scarcely have been noticed by some supporters but Mathieu Debuchy is certainly making a major impact on his return to France.

Indeed the 32-year-old has become the first defender to be crowned Ligue 1’s player of the month in five years, beating the world’s most expensive footballer to the crown in the process.

Saint-Etienne right-back Debuchy earned 47 per cent of votes after a month in which he scored two goals as his new side went unbeaten and pulled clear of the Ligue 1 relegation zone.

As a second choice right back Debuchy was decent.

Wenger knows how to get the best out of players.

Sell them.

"......Cos if you want defenders then don't ask Wenger, George Graham he's your man" as that excellent fools and horses ditty goes.

Even when the dozy old twat forgets himself and buys a defender that might just be half decent he still manages to fuck it up.

To my dying day I will always complain that wenker was 100% wrong when he blamed vivas that day - imo the right back (I think that it was dixon) put zero pressure on the winger when he was crossing the ball, and he seemed to get a free pass for his role in the goal. I will bet my bollocks that, had vivas been playing at right back and nutty at left full that day, then wenker would have blamed vivas for letting the cross in

@LeGrove did you see Charlie Nicholas on his sky prediction that he thinks Wenger will announce his stepping down Friday/weekend? Any inside info? Bizarre statement in my opinion.

Apparently Charlie said this on SSN this evening

Dixon was tucked in.

But it is basic training that you tell the full backs to get out and put pressure on the cross - dixon did not do that :x

Actually having viewed that again I have discovered that he actually turned his back on the cross - isn't that the very thing that has led to the BFG to be labelled as a vagina on here ? :rubchin:

Now that the puppet known to the world as Professor Stephen Hawking has finally croaked ... Wenger moves up one on the list of the worlds biggest living frauds. 8)

With Billy Graham also snuffing it recently, Wenger is moving nicely up the chart. The Jesuit Pope, the odious Professor Brian Cox and Buzz Aldrin must now be firmly in his sights.

Come on Arsene, you can make it to no.1 :barscarf:
