That is enough for me.

Let's see, Wengs so far has signed Alexis, Debuchy, Ospina and bringing Campbell back from loan. If you told me in May this is how our transfer window will pan out in mid July I would of been over the moon. A DM is coming (without sounding like SteveO :D ), wait and see.

Pussy.
are you really so thick to not see beyond the smoke and mirrors strategy at Arsenal?

yes we have bought Alexis who may be a good signing (but he is still not the out and out striker that we ideally require)
Debuchy has come into replace Sagna ( so NO net gain there)
Ospina will come in to replace Fabianski ( so NO net gain there)
Campbell potentially looks good but it is not certain that he will make it in the PL just because he looked ok playing for Costa Rica

I have been waiting for a decent DM to come in since we moved to the Emirates. I am still waiting...
Honestly don't know what on earth you're on about. What do you mean exactly by "no net gain"?

We have signed 3 international players in positions we require without selling any of our top players. Debuchy and Ospina might be replacements for departed players but Sánchez is a world class addition who WILL play upfront (look up Wenger's comments regarding his position).

No DM's since Emirates? We just signed one last summer, lol.

Arsenal no longer pursuing Khedira but still in market for DMF, will sign GK & probably DF depending on Jenkinson/Vermaelen situations #AFC - @bbcsport_david

Oracle Ornstien has spoken.

Not sure why you need to call him thick

Talking about net gains is pointless.

Flamini was a DM of sorts in 07/08 and one of the best in the league. Not the physically imposing kind, more the pass intercepting, tacklng snapping at your heels kind so a bit disingenuous to say we haven't had one at the Grove, unless I missed something Gilberto Silva played a couple of seasons there as well and did the same thing. Underrated byu fans and manager alike.

1989,Sanchez will not work as a striker against the top 6 in the EPL, because we play a rigid 4-5-1. He'll get eaten alive by most CB's in the league unless we play a counter attacking game. AW won't do this against the top 6 which is quite frankly ridiculous.

Giroud was shot before the WC, with no holiday and little preseason, doubt we'll get much of a tune out of him for at least half a season. I may be proved wrong but I doubt it.

AW doesn't trust Poldi enough so we won't see him much. He'll become 3rd choice after Sanchez.

Campbell is a gamble but he sounds like a player that will do his best wherever he plays, if you read the article a little while back about him, that's what you'd believe.

I've got a horrible feeling that our major business is done. I don't think that a DM is coming, although I'd love to be proven wrong. At this stage, I think we'll see the announcement of Ospina, Vermalen going out and someone being brought in at centre-half. Other than that, I think what we have is what we'll start the season with.

Surely this can't be business done for us. AW's contract extension will surely come back to bite us in the ass. A toast to more 4th place trophies :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Topgoon, I think we'll play with Feo and Alexis upfront in the big games, just my prediction. I don't think Wenger will stick with a rigid 4-5-1 formation simply because the very presence of Alexis opens up plenty of tactical options for us (before someone mentions it I know that Wenger is tactically not the strongest).

What do others think about this- Im not buying it myself.

Fabregas- fallen out enough not to be re signed (Allegedly)
Le Sulk- surely there was a falling out along the way?
RVJC- must have fallen out over the transfer surely?
Na$ri- ditto
Sol Campbell- was there a falling out?
Pod- Last season there wasnt exactly a lot of games.
Sure I have missed many along the way

His fallings out arent as public as others, but he can be a bloody hard stubbon man as well all know, not a recipe for persisting good relations

I wouldn't say these are falling outs. A falling out IMO is like Tevez, whereby there is a personality clash. The above listed is more like an inevitable conclusion.

Yeah I agree, I mean we re-signed Sol Campbell so he can't have been too unhappy.
