The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Probably has the worlds worst rollercoaster. No ups and downs or twists and turns ... just one long, slow and predictable flat ride where death by boredom is the only danger.
On the contrary, it would be one of those with a nice big vertical rise at the start, before plunging into a deep dark hole midway through, only to emerge at the end with one last exciting rise, and you get a free selfie on the way out in the gift shop (where you can buy plenty of overpriced tat) before being invited to participate for another 10 similar experiences. Voted the world's 4th best rollercoaster but with improvements to it promised for the following year

PSG ARe to make another offer for wengy - even though the last 2 offers have been turned down, is it just me or whenever it is coming up to wards wenger's signing a new contract, the media (nudged by the Arsenal PR team I'm sure) come out with these rumours....

Jeeeessuss H - The AKB's will be flooding the Arsenal switchboard with calls and cries of TO1AW .

Me I think a new chant for games should be exercised!

Wenger does not advise PSG or their Owners the Qatar Investment Authority which is a state entity !

Wenger advises the Al Thani family who are the rulers of Qatar and therefore the CEO of the QAI is of course also a member of the Al Thani family !

Funnily enough the Guy who made contact with Wenger and which led to this arrangement is a MASSIVE Arsenal fan and season ticket holder . I watched the PSG game with him in the Pub in Knightsbridge hes on old business aquiantance and his surname is ????????? Al Thani ! ! ! ! !

Now this would please me, if an ounce of it was true. Best young keeper I've seen in the Premier League for a while. Who knows with him between the sticks we might save the odd free kick or penalty

Yup! He certainly is a very good GK already - There again what our useless GK Coaches would do to him is another matter - I remember seeing the gobby pole when he was out on loan and he really was excellent he comes back to Arsenal and within a year he's very average...still IF we do sign him and clueless fucksoff - who knows......

btw: what's the difference between an 'odd free kick or penalty' and ordinary ones then? :?

Think the article is bollocks tbh. Makes sense on the face of it and, much though I'd like Pickford to stay, it would be a decent deal for us (we all know he'll leave soon so keeping him for the annual relegation battle this season whilst still getting funds to strengthen a bit in January would be useful). That being said, unless they know something we don't, it's impossible for arsenal to let us have him on loan in January because we've already got our quota of two domestic loans (denayer and Januzaj). It's possible we might terminate the Januzaj loan like but I'd think it highly unlikely and, since the article didn't even mention it, I'd imagine they've simply overlooked this flaw in their "story"

How's the confidence in the mackems camp now buddy ? A few good results lately (inspired by your favourite striker anichibe  ) would/should have raised your hopes I would think :rubchin: Nobody doubting that your mackems are gonna be in a season long struggle, but for me they are much better equipped to survive than hull, burnley and maybe watford

Btw have you any concerns that a certain fat c.unt might try and raid your team (especially defoe) now that his lard arse is pack in the game ?

A bit more confident now but still going to be a major challenge to avoid the drop. Swansea and hull look poor but everyone else is capable of picking up points. We've got Burnley away on new years eve and we really need to win that to drag them into it and dent their confidence at home. Our other games over the period are man united and Liverpool, if we don't get any points it'll be as good as over.

I hold my hands up about Anichebe mind, he's actually done a canny job when fit. Not too worried about Allardyce, it's annoying that palace will be fine under him but I'd like to think we'd turn down any bids for Defoe. The press have linked him with a £6m move to west ham, if they bid that we have to tell them to fuck off, couldn't even start to replace his goals for that. To us he's probably worth £30m, that's about what it would take to replace him (bearing in mind benteke fee). No one in their right mind would pay that for a 34 year old so hopefully we're at a happy impasse where we simply want far more than anyone will bid. If we sell him there will be a lot of discontent, we might as well give up
