MALAGA, Spain, Aug 2, 2012 (AFP) - Arsenal have completed the signing of Spanish international Santiago Cazorla from Spanish side Malaga, the player said on his Twitter account Thursday.

"I can say I am a new Arsenal player," said the 27-year-old midfielder.

He was taken off with an injury in the 23rd min allegedly in the victims 1-0 win in the europa league tonight but i think thts only a smokescreen and hes on his way to sign for us and the fact he has been injured should speed up the process

ok, now i have to admit that it's looking likely that we will sign this cazorla fella.

excellent news i reckon. i read this season he played for malaga as centre midfielder, defensive mid, and both wings. (more than 5 games in each position), so seems like a versatile player who can kick with both feet.[/b] and he's been good enough to be regularly in the best national team in the world for the last few years (45 caps), not to mention he's at the peak of his career at 27, so even though i never saw him play i'm sure it's the kind of signing we should be aiming to make.
