The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah I wouldn't really call those falling outs. Wenger was probably bitter (as were the fans) at some of those players leaving but I wouldn't describe wanting to move for success or money as a falling out.

Two prime examples would be Ferguson falling out with Stam or Pogba - both very costly for United.

But apart from flap his arms he doesnt do yelling or outward aggro much so he wont outwardly have bust ups. He will though definately hardball and bounce them out fast if there is a falling out- agree all in the list could be called a conclusion, but inevitable I wont buy- all are hardballed for fu**ing off.

You wouldnt see him fight Balotelli a la Mancini but he would be out if he misbehaved thats for sure- the list is more ones who will NEVER return nor on his Christmas card list, and absoutely Viera is on it as well- In contrast TH14 and TA will be still on his card list.

Seems like Cavani has had enough of PSG and may be trying to force his way out. He hasn't returned back for pre-season training without an explanation to the club.

Typical overrated, overpaid modern day footballer.

Lol. Can you imagine if we are linked with Cavani tomorrow. Cue 1989 orgasmic over-reaction "will help us win the CL".

I disagree. He wasn't great in the WC, but everything revolves around Messi, who was very average.

I've seen a bit of Cavani and I like him a lot. He's quick, strong and works really hard. Ibrahimovic is the self-appointed topdog at PSG and there's been rumours before about Cavani being unhappy (the first post on this thread, I think).

Today there's rumours that PSG want di Maria, but can't buy him because of FFP. They might be tempted to sell.

Thought about adding his name but Roy Keane could start a fight in an empty room

Tbh Keane was just lashing out because he was on the decline and after so long at the pinnacle of English football United weren't in the title race for the 3rd season running. Ferguson hardly placated the situation but it didn't really harm them to let him go. Unlike Stam or Pogba.

What does Messi have to do with Cavani's WC performances?

Messi plays for Argentina, Cavani for Uruguay.
