I love the strories linking us to two psg players........what club in their right mind would sell two integral players after their own domestic transfer window has closed ? If they sold even one of those players to us, they would be unable to replace them until january - gotta love the way we do business dont ya ?
Earlier in the thread I posted that we had enough goals throughout the team to get by without signing a striker. The start of the season has proved how totally fucking wrong I was. I'm a big enough person to own up to my mistakes....what are the chances of our "boss" realising his mistakes and actually buying what we desperately need.
I still think DM is the position that will end up costing us the most if we don't buy anyone but I'm also convinced Wenger thinks this is now covered with Coq/Arteta/Flamini
Personally i'm still expecting a massively underwhelming striker to be coming....i hope I will be admitting my mistake as Cavani is signing on the dotted line....but I doubt it.

The thing is, does such a person even exist?
I doubt it.
Allegedly born in Stoke but now holding Albanian nationality, I think the link below is an attempt to get a rumour started about a non-existent player.
KAQAK is the only Forum member who could verify this, and he has not been online for a long time.

We have to get a go to striker, like RvP or Costa, Suarez, etc etc. Giroud scores the odd sublime goal but is too slow and needs 5 clear cut chances to score one. Walcott wants to be a striker, thinks he's a striker but isn't. He's a sprinter wearing football boots with the touch of an elephant. And Wellbek.... well he's Welbeck?? And as for Arteta..... in who's world is he a defensive midfielder?? I would be hard pressed to describe exactly what he is. Wenger of course, thinks he's irreplaceable??
I'm trying not to feel pissed off.
I'm trying not to feel downhearted.
After 2 successive Cup wins why wouldn't you want to build on that with more than just a keeper?
Why would every pundit in the game say you need to strengthen but the Manager thinks we don't?
Every season I promise to reduce the amount I get stressed by my club and every year I fail.
I can understand why there are a lot of disappointed people on here but it has been quite clear for a while that no one is coming in.
at least we got our one transfer in early so we have learnt that lesson at least!
but look we as supporters need to start looking at things from the view of the club. the ambition is NOT there to win the league, it hasnt been there for years. Wenger is considered a success because he gets top 4 each year and he has also added the FA Cups as bonuses these past 2 years. there is a view that we are always 2 players short. no we are not! we always go into the season with exactly the right players to get a top 4 position.
this is not a defence of the club by the way, I fucking hate what it has become, and why I am no longer motivated to buy any tickets to watch the team, it is just that if you look at what the club are doing then it does make sense from their business orientated perspective. oh by the way there will be no booing or dissent amongst supporters because we will win enough games to keep the sheep at the bowl happy.
Everton have just spunked 9.5 mill (doesn't that leave us rock bottom of the money spent table?) on a defender so I guess that means Stones will be off to the chavs by 6pm.
"Did you find any good new French players to sign?"
"Non, Arsene."
"Sacre bleu..then we will sign nobody. I cannot kill Giroud and Coquelin".
"But we did find this magnifique bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon..."
Why am I watching this shit?
Woke up with low expectations but still find myself getting angrier and angrier each time they go to the reporter at ours.
Thank fuck I've got to go to work in a few hours.
Disagree steve o - when the syrup wearing w>nker in the states hears that we have made a transfer profit AGAIN, then he will most certainly be "coming" all over the place
Well I have just back from the dentist after having a tooth repaired, so my face is fuckin numb and I can't work till 1pm, it's kind of ironic that I feel even number watching this pathetic damp squib of a transfer window
How many goals have we scored this season? And we don't need a top class striker, do fuckin behave wenger
