Do you mean Maria?
The middle aged lady with the loud voice who sings our songs but "polite" versions?
She is great! Only wish other fans would sing up.
I was stood behind her at orient and she was a right bitch- telling everyone to stop standing up that were infront of her and tutting everytime someone swore. real killjoy- and she started the most fucking cringeworthy songs

2604. you lot slagging off Maria when you dont even know her. She is an older lady (sorry Maria) who goes to all the ladies, mens reserves and first team games home and away. She sings her heart out for the Arsenal and so what if she sings "clean" versions of the songs? At least she sings!!!!!!
And as for telling people to sit down, she struggles to walk and uses a stick so she probably just couldnt see if people in front of her were stood up.
I am sick of people on here judging others because they dont support the team in the way they do.

Maria sings clean version of songs but credit to her, she has standards likely from the age (1950's?) when she started going to games when songs would have been cleaner.
All credit to her to have her convictions, and I bet there are barely a handful of fans who go to more games than her.
Or would you prefer the massed ranks of "silent observers" to pack the crowd?

I've offended someone , I'm sorry
*EDIT- I'm sorry shes disabled but what was she doing at the front at orient then? good for her that she sings up for the team but her chants are annoying and can't she have special seating if she has trouble standing up for 90minutes?
bit harsh maybe but I'd like to see what would happen if her seat was at the back? would she ask the 300 people blocking her view to sit down?

Im not.
We all say how bad it is when youre told to sit now because someone goes to reserve games its ok, well in my book it isnt. If you go to away games you have to expect it to be more boistrous shall we say, if you cant handle that dont go Simple

This is actually more of a natural reaction, we don't want to see blood and guts, we want to see what was causing us to sit in a traffic jam for an hour.

I am not trying to speak for Maria, I just wanted to put accross my point as I doubt she frequents the gooner forum! She may tell you a completely different story!
I am not saying because she goes to reserve games she can tell you to sit down.

What I am saying is that to just say "if you cant handle it then dont go" is completely unfair and boils down to the same old "this is what an arsenal fan should do and this is how they behave and if you dont do it then your not a proper fan" which is what I am sick of on this forum.

Basil do we or dont we all moan about people at football telling us what to do at games? Now at 21st century Arsenal in our lovely new shiny stadium we have to sit and the stewards enforce such rules vigerously (sp) but to have someone shouting 'sit down' when im standing to either sing or when Arsenal attack
really pisses me off but to do this at an away game is absolute bollocks.
I havent been to an away game for a while but even 10-20 years ago when i went home and away almost every week the away games were much more boistrous and intense than home games at Highbury, from what i read here it is the same these days. This is why as an older lady or man in that case you have to pick and chose your games or pick and chose your seating arrangements at the very least and telling people to sit down is poor at best and a damn cheek at worst. If ive read this right she cant walk without a stick to aid her then surely the disabled section would be a good place for her not in with the throngs of intense fans, it might be sad to say this but its true
Im not one on here that pretends im a bigger fan than anyone else (i think we have had this discussion) but in the same instance people who go to Arsenal home/away, reserves and ladies week after week after week are not 'proper fans' either and therefore can not tell me or anyone else what to do when i go
