Is it safe to go out today?
Or will the planet disintegrate at the news of Brexit?....

Plenty of rabbits on the grass verges off the A11 / M11 mate.A11M11 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 4:19 pmBest you watch your weight then Rob , all that food in your attic maybe an Anderson shelter in your garden in case the sky falls towards your head. At least your neighbours will know where to go to borrow a cup of sugar.
I expect the pound to fall because the money people know that once the dust settles and we begin to see the benefits it will go up again and they can make a few more bob, just ask Mr Soros the greatest manipulator of them all.
Whether i personally will be worse off , I don't know , but I learned to live on my feet a long time ago and I doubt that it will be anything like the armageddon being promised by Carney , Hammond et al.
BTW :- All this sunshine has been great for my allotment . Just need my bow and arrow to go out and get some meat to go with the veg I've grown.
The pounds value is dropping because as things stand, we have more than a 50% probability of a hard Brexit happening. Sterling is merely reflecting this. The Bank of England governor isnt harming families going on hols into continental Europe, those that voted Brexit did it themselves.A11M11 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 4:41 pmCan't help but suspect that there is more than a little hint of manipulation in this. It's an exact paralell to the city reaction following the referendum result . Carney says it's bad just like last time best drop the pound's value , Make it harder for the fools that didn't vote the way we wanted especially just as the school holidays get started..

I’m in Spain right now, food and booze is quite cheap but only a few years ago our spending power was much stronger. If we get a hard Brexit this is only the tip of the iceberg. A weak currency translates into a weak economy. But having gone from the top of the G7 in terms of growth, to the bottom in less than 5 years we already know that.
