Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wonder if cole is hazard replacement and he is on his way here.

You'd be lucky mate. Apparently Lille were already interested in another winger/forward anyway as they've lost Gervinho and now Park to us.

Eljero Elia is off to Juve by the looks of it, which is a shame. We were linked with him and he looks a real talent.

absofuckinglutely.

i'm delighted that we're signing mertesacker. exactly the type we've been crying out for: big, tough, intelligent, experienced... good signing

Fuck Cahill!

I would hate those northern fuckers to have our money! Would probably spunk it all on pies and flat caps!

I saw that but it also said we were way short of the £12M!

£12M it was £17M last week.
So I bet we've gone from £6M/£7M to an £8M bid.

Think arsenal will make a big signing by the end of the transfer window so I think for once they will shut there eyes and spend big so hazard might be in there window .Money talks.

Agree with this. Lots of people saying he's slow along the ground, which he is. But Vermaelen isn't. The best central defensive pairings have one big fuck off evil one who will stick his head in where it hurts, beat people in the air (Mertesacker). And a smaller one who can still mix it if necessary but deals with a lot of the sweeping up in behind and tracking runners (Vermaelen).

Excellent move IMO.

They were happy with £3 million and rejected the deal due to the Djourou clause!

Yeah bit odd that, not sure what they mean. I imagine Bolton are holding out for £12m, which is £5m less than the £17m they wanted the other day!!

I think we'll get Cahill in the end if we want him. Also reports on Samba, so maybe we're double bluffing the two off against each other. Bolton are in desperate need of the money.
