Reports in a couple of the papers today that Real Leicester considered TOF for their managers position but decided not to pursue. Apparently they are more interested in Rodgers. All those top clubs eh wenker
I was thinking about this yesterday and it occurred to me that Wenger probably won't take another job in the club managerial capacity. I have been around people who have been in the same company for years and they become institutionalized and I reckon that the same has happened to Wenger. He could have taken some jobs lower down the list, but he hasn't, so it will probably be a national team manager.

When Southgate bombs, Wenger will get approached then. In fact, the FA may have already approached the guy.

It's a fair shout and any sane individual of his age would probably go the way you suggest but TOF is far from sane and unless he changes his mind is still apparently looking for day to day involvement in football if the reports are to be believed. It may be that when he doesn't get any decent offers he suddenly announces his life long desire to manage the national team of..............any national side that will have him!

I would love him to take on the England job, in fact 'I'd love it, I'd love it' if he got the job. That would probably lead to some of the most ridiculous circumstances to ever surround a national team, it's manager, the public and the press. All those wankers who thought wenker was some kindly old man doing us a favour by being our manager would have a taste of what we had to put up with for years..........let's see how forgiving everybody is then. Bring it on.....please....I'm sure Southgate will do his part in the equation. Maybe TOF is just biding his time until England crash out of the WC :rubchin: Isn't life so much better without him :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

They say that nothing you say on social media will ever been forgotten, so why does this not seem to apply to written and verbal interviews ? All these ex-players (seaman being the latest) coming out and saying how the team isnt good enough especially in the spine. are the same one's that have been defending the french cock up until he got the sacked  They dont seem to see the contradiction in defending the performance of the old *word censored* one minute, and they saying that the team he left behind is weak

To be honest it’s not inconsistent with ex-players and pundits constantly criticising “the team” or “Arsenal” for years whilst blindly ignoring Wenger’s responsibility.

It wasn’t that these people didn’t think we were a defensive shambles or simply not up to title challenges etc, they just acted as though that was somehow not down to Wenger.

Hope this link works....if not you can copy copy and paste it in......dinosaur and all that :?

On the subject of defensive shambles....it didn't have to be that way. Good old Tone explaining the purpose of a CB in a football team, how to defend and the fact that a good keeper is quite handy too - it's so simple really :D

Also lobbing a grenade at the scum in the England team - good work fella :barscarf:

If Caprice floats your boat then there's something for you too.

“They talked about distribution from the back but I said ‘Have you done any heading sessions lately?’.

I bet the answer to that was no. the ex-manager also never practiced defending or taking set pieces.

all that will change. Emery is meticulous.

Why are we still talking about Wenger?.

He is history and should have been history many years ago.

so despite our dismal season and a 6th place finish, meaning we miss the CL, the old fraud was still planning another paid TV gig this summer :
Wenger, who will travel to Russia as a pundit for Qatari-owned TV channel beIN Sports, was stood down a year before his contract was due to end amid increasing discontent both among the fans and the board.

"It's just too soon to know what I will do next," he told The Guardian in an interview in Paris this week.

"I haven't even emptied my desk yet and, in a way, I am still in a state of shock. I am going to give myself until June 14, the day the World Cup begins, to decide.
whilst being paid 9 million a year, the audacity of that is stunning. and no way was next season going to be any different from the last decade. :banghead:

Yeah can't believe he's happy to trouser another 9 million for a year's work he isn't going to do......so much for the values.

But don't forget TOF always honours his contract - including taking the money
