Wilshere's chant

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I still love my 'in the jungle' chant:
Jacky Wilshere the mighty Wilshere
he's small but he can fight
Jacky Wilshere the mighty Wilshere
he knows that sperz are shite

Sadly no song will ever get made for jack worth any stature.

Like most of our team the fans are pathetic. Apart from away fans that is.

I'm sick and tired of this 'away fans are great, home fans are shit' bollocks that keeps spewing from the likes your you!!! :roll:So answer me this: why haven't these non 'pathetic' fans managed to get one going then? After all, apparently it was Man United's away following that have got most of their songs established. How comes ours can't? :?

Because the songs have too many words :banghead:
Only time you hear any new songs is in the pub or in the concourse of the away ground.

everyone splits up after that and it gets diluted.

No chance at home games, I give up trying!
diluted

Chill Hleb chill!!!

Everyone knows the home support is shit, we’ve been talking about it for ages. Its been good at the grove a few times and that’s it.

The away support is good and you cant knock the noise made at games. The general support is up there with the best.

The chants are shit though, and I have said this for ages. Though we are loud at away games it’s the same old chants over and over.

The pub before is a different story. This is when new chants get sung in numbers.

In that case the logical next step is to take them 'new songs' and start singing them on the terraces. That way, others get to hear them and as the away support are generally the same guys, the songs will soon be learnt by most of them. Once that has been established, people not at the games will perhaps pick up on them and it can then spread around the gooner masses at Ashburton. It's simple really. 8)

You would think that. Ive been banging my head at the wall trying. :banghead:

Originality is not our strong point when it comes to the chants. I have tried and you do get groups that try together, but its very rare that support is given if no one knows the chant.

Only way to get a new chant started is to re world old chants with tunes that everyone know. Its really hard to get anything original going.

Nasri song was the exception as its so easy to learn.
