Also, 3 years ago I remember us beating Milan 2-0, completely outplaying them and meanwhile, running away with the league. Next game we played, Wigan away, loads of team changes and an arrogant air that we didn't have to bother and could just show up as we'd just outplayed Milan. And guess what? We thew it away again. :banghead: :banghead:

Wenger has always said he won't make many signings out of season because he thinks continuity is so important...........well what about a bit of continuity in the TEAM you deluded old fart? If a couple of players need resting, fine, 8 players is utterly ridiculous and asking for trouble. This is not the thinking of a top manager it really isn't.

Of our first eleven tonight the one player that can be said with some certainty to have been good enough to make the 2002 or 2004 squads is the one player more Gooners here want to blame and see sold.

Seriously name one other player of the first eleven slected today who can be said to have been a sure choice to be included in the 2002 or 2004 sides - first team or squad?

After Arshavin - definitely - and Sagna - maybe - who - Fabianski? Denilson? Eboue? Rosicky? Bendtner? Koscieny? Squillaci? Diaby? Chamakh?

You get what you pay for - and this is what we have paid for - a team under no real pressure and with little real motivation to do anymore than they have since 2006 and a manager under no real pressure and with little real motivation to do any thing about that reality from his bosses.

Yeah but tonight's team was second string.

Of tonight's starters,

Arshavin and Sagna, Chamakh and Rosicky would have made the 2002 - 2004 squad.

And yes, I would still like to see Arshavin REPLACED in the summer if an adequate replacement can be found.

Some very bad decisions on the team line up today by Arsene...

However we were trully and utterly robbed! Their penalty is one of the worst ref decision ever! No contact and not even in the box!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
The tackle on Walcott when he's in the box IS a penalty! And Nasri's free kick stopped by the defenders hand is blatant!!!!

The ref's decisions were utterly disgusting...

On another note we played poorly but I didn't expect anything better from our B team. Diaby, Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner, Rosicky, Kos... None of them are first teamers in my eyes.
Arshavin, despite his nice goal was sh*t! HE just doesn't seem to understand the team gameplay.
CHamack also has been a ghost for some time now. Absolutly no hold up play, and even Bendtner with his baby elephant touch seemed to keep the ball longer than chammy!!!
Diaby's cameo was something special. HE went back to shag the Nurse. Not sure Van Persie and ROsicky will appreciate this...
Finally there will be one day when our midfield will be clear of that poor excuse of a footballer who pretends to be Brazilian... I can't wait for this day to come along....

Can I clarify that I am not suggesting that the rosetinters are in any way to blame or that I am saying I told you so either.........what I am saying though is that there are people who keep believing even though it is wenger that continues to let them down so to shout from the rooftops when you know another fcuk up is always just around the corner is foolish to say the least

I hope AW apologises to the fans who made the trip overseas and up north

Dismal performance, mind-boggling team selection and terrible decision making in the second period

Was the Champs League scare against Partizan not fresh in his mind at least.

Difficult to comprehend right now and it kinda turns you off wanting to part with more cash to see this sh1t occuring on a regular basis

After Barca sh1tting their pants for a whole 24 hours they must be as bemused as all us now

My 1000th post :barscarf:

Empty seats in the top tier against Chavsea were a sign that the willingness to watch this team is wilting. Shit like tonight won't change minds and that's what will finally wake this board up and put some pressure on the mug in charge.
