As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm glad, though, that Arsenal fans, players and UK reporters enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere. My throat still hurts a bit...
Away supporters were friendly and I saw a couple of Gooners chatting to German fans in the "Strobels" pub right at the Stadium. Support was a bit poor, but I think both sides enjoyed the evening.
Why the wink after 'my throat still hurts'?
Kingjayson, can you shed any light on the matter? ;)
Agree with you. For the circumstances (flights, time between draw and game, etc), the turnout was alright and I can imagine it's hard for a bit more than 1k fans to be heard in such an atmosphere.
I'm definitely looking forward to the the game at the Emirates. I actually think it has a better accoustic than our ground (found it brilliant at the Carling Cup semi-final last season).
We will do our best to get 3 points in Marseille (will be a great journey as well) to make sure we qualify with you.

To be fair to GermanBlue, he's got a point. However, we have mitigating circumstances:
- 2 and a half weeks to the game from the draw.
- Flight prices.
- Shite start to the season.
- Out-numbered 65 to 1 by thousands of screaming Germans back in the Champions League after years in the doldruns.
Anyway, Marseille is the trip everyone seems to be going on. Reckon it could sell out quite high (15+). Everyone I go to games with is going (30+)

Support a bit poor?, in the Strobels pub you mean? You probably weren't there at the Alten markt pre-match I could find the bloody place with my ears.
Anyway, fantastic day, must be said; the westfalenstadium is a place to be for a football fan, as for the match; we played piss-poor, couldn't dominate the midfield and our defence still is awful, didn't deserve a win, Dortmund were pretty dangerous from time to time, and created the best chances so I can live with it.
Post match drinks at Barrock's till 2AM , had a good time with Dortmund fans especially the female ones Overall fantastic atmosphere, friendly helpfull people, great day!

Did you meet with some Dortmund supporters (I remember the lads from schwatzgelb.com inviting away fans) there or was it a gathering point for Gooners only?
Unfortunately I had no time to walk through the city center, just arrived after 7pm (German time) and went straight to the stadium.
A slightly off topic reflection on the game. Like a few Irish gooners I watched the game on tv3, normally a good place to view C L matches.
However , the 'commentator' they used on Tuesday night was the rat-faced anti-Arsenal *word censored* Mark Lawrenson. Well if that twat knifed us once, he stabbed us 1000 times!!! Every pass was shit, every player was under performing, every cross, kick and shot was wrong. What a total bastard he is
Wenger got it wrong over the summer, we all know that, we are not at the level we expect our club to be, we all know that. But is Liverpool in Europe? Did Liverpool win last weekend, NO!!!!

Bring it on!
F*cking hell..... You shouldn't have scared an old man like that! I haven't been that nervous waiting for tickets to come on sale for ages. Safely bought now though at 15+ so as you say....bring it on !
I had a really good trip to Germany, a draw seemed a fair result as we were struggling to hold them back in the 2nd half.
Went on the official trip in the end, should have taken the contact details of some people as they were friendly and would have been good to go to more away games with them.
Marseilles has gone down to 10 points now, if only as a red member I could use the points I have. As I doubt they will go that far.
