Sutch wrote:Still can't believe people are saying they're impressed with Gervinho. He's quick but has no end product and how many chances did he miss at WHL in October I think? You know you're fucked if you're getting compared to Hleb in your first few months.
He's much more direct than hleb, rosicky or arseshaving - he causes a lot of problems for defences, who have to double up on him which leaves space for rvp and Walcott.

I think he's had a few assists too .

His end product could be better, true but he works hard and I hope it'll improve.

Ox might be better in the long run

Gervinho will be top class next year. He's still adapting to the rigours of the Premier League.

Gervinho, Walcott there all the same. Shit speed merchants that cant control a football.

Get some MEN in who can control the ball.

Duncan Ferguson, now there was an attacker to admire. Wrighty as well. Tough skilful forwards with power, who scored goals.

Thats what we need.

Send the 2 runners of to the Athletics stadium to practise for 2012. It's all they are good at. Its the same shite all season, if it wasnt for Van Persie carrying them two shitebags we would be in the bottom half.

Gervinho is average , anyone who watched him for Lille or Ivory Coast would know it.

Walnut is a shitbag indeed but I would cut Gervinho some slack, he's only been here 6 months after all.

I think much like Koscielny, he'll have imporved a lot this time next season and will be the player we expect him to be.

As a true Blue of over 50 years ...I must say this ; I got to page 26 I think of this thread.
1). WHY do you moan so much?
2). WHY not give credit to your team, who are by far the best 'footballing' side in the league, & have been fofr feckin years.
3).Top marks to "Mutley Gooner" ...talks alot of sense.
4). .....reference to 1). How do you lot (some) ...& you know who you are, take that ammount of time during a game to post anti - Arsenal shite stuff..???

Just a few thoughts from a City Blue, who posted the 'park & ride' message, & had 3 top geezers on it (more a break-down than pre-arranged!) ...and I know they had a belting night.
Stuff the white scum please, then the rags ....see you in the 4th/5th round?

Thanx for your indulgence folks,

Tony Whizz. (who's girlfriend is a Gooner !).

Absolutely - I cannot for the life of me understand how people keep defending these doughnuts  I have said for some time now that neither has the brains to be a top level footballer, neither of them track back enough and both are too easily squeezed out of a game far too often. I dont know if gervinho looked good playing infrance or not but I am guessing that if he did it was cos of his speed in a slower paced league - over here it is always a high paced tempo so when you face teams that have similar attributes then you need to bring something else to the table to make a difference and gervinho has nothing else in his locker. I would love to know who scouts these fcukers and what are they looking for in potential signings cos it sure as hell cant be much

I mentioned this on another thread but it sits just as well here; Wenger bringing on AA23 and Chamakh (the 2 most out of form players at the club) as his 2 late "tactical" subs says it all about Wenger for me; clueless. :(

Gervinho looked ok at Lille. But when you're facing Ligue 1 defenders well, even Walcott would look like Overmars out there...
Gervinho is a joke signing. He literally has No football brain, he never looks up and just runs head down into blind alleys. It's ridiculous and you can tell RVP hates playing with him. Watch VP body language the next time. Funny how Wenger is always happy to overpay for Ligue 1 garbage, but refuses to compete for serious players.
Pires initially struggled at Arsenal, as did Nasri but it was obvious both had football intelligence. Gervinho has zero, he's an attacking version of Alex Thong. Braindead. Ivorian Tony Daley ffs...

As for Arsenal? Wenger has fucked us for years to come. No CL next season. Spuds will use their CL cash to improve their already superior team. Liverpool continue to improve and will spend big again. Chelski will spend a shitload renovating their creaking squad. Fergie has already signed a £30 mil attacking midfielder for summer (Gaitan is class) and Manure always compete no matter the team. Citeh well say no more.

Meanwhile, Wenger will look to France for the next Chamakh or wait on Diaby's return for the umpteenth time. Some ppl don't realise that Wenger's incompetence over summer past, and the two before that has fucked this club for many, many years to come.

We will be in Spuds shadow ffs. It's gonna take over £70 mil to get a squad as good as theirs right now. That means at least a top class striker, a proper DCM, a proper centre back (Mertesacker and Djourou?), a reliable left back and a competent reserve goalie.

That's how far behind Wenger has put us in relation to the top teams.

Still. Don't forget to renew and use up those credits for the Europa League next season!

Chamakh. £65k a week. LOL
Arshavin. £60k a week. LOL
Diaby. £60k a week. LOL

Three players" who literally bring fuck all to the table. They're not fit for purpose either of them. Add Bendtner and Denilson and there's over £290k a week in wages right there. Wasted.

Yet, some muppet will pipe up soon to tell you " we cannot compete with Manure/Spuds/Barnet.

Ditch the invalids and you could pay the wages of Higuain, Ozil and Chiellini; and you'd still have enough left to pay Vorm of Swansea as your number 2 every week...

If those wage figures are correct then I cannot argue with a word of that. It's been said on here before and the AKB's hate to hear it; we waste alot of money on poor and mediocre players, that is the main difference between us and alot of other clubs financially.

But it's the same old stuff. Arshavin was clearly a good signing when we got him but he's eventually lost all sense of form and needs moving on - obviously in order for that to happen someone needs to be interested in signing him. I'm certain a number of clubs will be after him.

Chamakh was signed on the basis that he was a good player. Like Arshavin, he started well and has faded away and is of very little use when he comes on. He will be shifted as soon as someone offers to take him off our hands.

I don't believe the wages quoted as usual but when players don't work out it's easy to point the finger.

I'm not happy they turn out to be mediocre but it's not always a given that spending big money will bring anything more.

Baba you are fuckign obsessed with the Scum. Its a long bloody season. We've lost one game in a very good run, and should have got something out of that game. Yes we have certain players who aren't good but what team hasn't?

I'ld satillback us to finish in the top 4, I've seen nothing from Chelsea or Liverpool to suggest we can't get in it.

But surely the point is we have a manager that has continually rewarded poor performances from players like Diaby, Song, Vela, Denilson, Bendtner, Eboue etc with renewed improved contracts. They have failed - he has given them a pay rise!

A blind man could see these players were/are not PL quality and should have been shipped out years ago, but Wenger couldn't. He persists with them long after the fans, other managers and the media all have realised the players aren't good enough.

We waste huge amounts of money paying average and poor players what quality players would expect to earn.
