Olivier Giroud - Another Alan Smith or "Le Chapman"?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What love in? It's starting to sound like you want him to fail. Just to prove you right? :|

Don't be daft. I don't want any Arsenal player to fail and unlike others on here at least I come back here and 'man up' when a player I don't rate has done well rather than disappear for days on end or try to pretend it was down to the opposition not being interested (the best one yet for Abou's man of the match display at Anfield)

I want him to succeed. Look back on the thread and I've said I'll be back here ready to take the shit that will rightly come my way if he turns out to be a big game player and sticks it to Bayern. I just don't think he will

What a boring place this would be if nobody stuck their neck out and give an opinion - The Trevor Brooking Forum it should be renamed

Looks on pace to score 20+ goals this season. That would be a fantastic return in his first season.

I'd say 15 in the league is more realistic tbh, maybe 20+ in all comps? Depends how he is used and how often. But you never know!

Hmm....notice this thread died a bit of a death in recent weeks.

He's been just great lately hasn't he? Such panache with those wild left foot swings against Villa, anonymous and outmuscled against Blackburn

Mr Joe Average - anyone still optimistic about 20 league goals?

Not particularly..... but he hasn't been helped by inspector clueless has he! Playing to his strengths might be a start but yet again Wenker will destroy another player due to his tactical ineptitude! :banghead: :banghead:

I just wonder how Giroud and Walcott would do played very similar to the way RVP and Rooney do at United. I hate our formation its utter shite and really makes our forwards feed on scraps. Mind you I dont really rate Giroud but he is better than Bendtner. What has happened to him in Italy ??

Ahhh, that one again. When he's good its down to him and when he's awful its down to Wenger.

He was our main target man against Blackburn Fucking Rovers where we had 70% possession and spent the entire game camped in their half with over 20 attempts at goal.....and he was fucking awful. How could that possibly be Wenger's fault?

Because everythings Wengers fault! Actually Steve I retract that earlier post as I was at the Blackburn game and had chosen to forget it as quick as possible, he stank the place out with a piss poor performance!

And he's been just great again in this first half at the Lane hasn't he?

Have we had a player so consistently off balance when he receives the ball as this useless carthorse?

He isnt fit to wear the shirt,we had Wright,Anelka,Henry,Eduardo,RVP then Giroud, spot the odd one out ,how did we sink this low to have a gutter sniper up front,i seriously dont think that Giroud would be in many prem starting line ups,so wtf is he doing playing for us.

I watched Wigan get taken to the cleaners by the Mickeys yesterday and can honestly say I'd rather have Kone or Di Santo over our useless tool. At least they're mobile. We've got a bloke with the mobility of a three legged tortoise and with the same balance as one too
