I'm sorry, but whilst I appreciate that there are varying views on the subject and mine is the opposite of most hereabouts, to show the banner 'after' the game, a game we won 5-2, was unbelievably naive imo.

If you want to get support in the major media for your 'mission' then you really need to give it a little more thought.

I, of course, believe that those involved would seem to be trying to score points amongst their peers but surely that's preaching to the converted? How can folk be so daft as to show it at this game (on the assumption, that is, that I'm right in saying it was shown after the game?? apologies If wrong) when Arsenal clearly showed some class this evening...

If folk seriously think their actions will change the way things are then I really need to stop right now and let you get on with it... lol timing excellent! (not)

IMO showing it after a win gives it more credibility. I suppose if we'd lost you'd be saying it was a knee jerk reaction.

Well done to those involved anyway and may we see it many more times, as long as it takes for him to go.

Well at least no one can accuse them of being 'fickle', as they would have had we lost the game. "You only want him out now because you lost a game" etc etc.

Fair point and I acknowledge it is impressive that a few folk have stood by their beliefs. I still think, however, that to show it at such a time gives it less credibility in the eyes of others as it seems incongruous in that a team shows a good performance and fans apparently want the manager out... just not the right way to go imo.. Obv I acknowledge also that my opinion is different than most around here...

Fair enough. All I would say is that after 8 years of failure one win against the worst side in the league seems pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. At least to most of us anyway.

Just back from the game. Well done to everyone involved in displaying the banner tonight. It made my day. We all know what the potential response could have been from the die-hard Wenger apologists who allow no criticism of the all powerful leader. It was absolutely right to show the banner EVEN after a win (against the worst team in the league who have conceded 50 goals already this season). If I may say so, I think the real naivety comes from those who believe one result changes the last 7 years. We were not playing Barcelona (even at 4-0 up we almost contrived to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory). Actually the timing was excellent as it showed there are at least some Arsenal supporters who are no longer prepared to fall for the usual ‘we are back on track’ nonsense from the Wenger cult. Great job everyone, you should be proud of yourselves. Bring on Wigan, when it should be shown again win, lose or draw - because there are a growing number of people who now know that nothing is going to get better under this manager despite the odd win here or there.
PS And not one verse of “One Arsene Wenger” tonight – even better.

Well done for showing it.

It needed to be done and there are always a thousand excuses not to show it.

It didn't matter that we won. We looked good against a shit side and still managed to concede a couple.

This is unlikely to be a turning point in the season as I can see it all going pear shaped again.

Hopefully no one gave you a hard time. :box:

Good effort, needs to be shown pre Kick Off as well.

Apologies if it was and I just didn't see it, I was about 10 rows infront of you there actually.
