As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Postman offered no threat and has a pretty poor first touch so even his hold up play was totally inneffective. Giroud made an instant impact, his touch was good and he started to dominate the Toffees CH's a bit in the air. He isn't world class and never will be, but credit where it's due, he was very good on Saturday and took the first goal very well, particularly his movement forward, then step off and then back in for the finish which lost his marker. Usually his movement is poor but that was quality. Should we be looking for a better first striker? Yes. But fair play to him.
I thought Sagna was appalling up until his inch perfect pass for Giroud's goal. I counted at least 6 times he just passed straight to the oppo. A great defender, but going forward his game has really gone downhill IMHO.
I hope Arsene rests the Ox on Tuesday but of course he probably won't. We need Ox fit for the FA Cup - the ONLY trophy we have any chance of winning.
If we do not win the FA Cup because Arsene starts pissing about with the line up then he has to go. this is a real opportunity for us. Of course Wigan will be pumped up after beating the Arab's plaything but let's not forget it was their second string they beat. We should (if Wenger doesn't fuck about) have well and truly enough to put away all three teams left in it.
He should go regardless - winning an fa cup does not negate the years of mis-management and the total ineptitude of the man

Oh I agree. I meant he should be sacked the next morning. At 9am. Of course he won't be. But I would rate us not winning this FA Cup (given who is left in it) as even worse than losing the mickey mouse cup final to Brum tbh.

Apparently they were also setting off smoke bombs/flares before the game and after they scored too?
Yes flares before the match (at least 2) and set off 3 after they scored as well, one of which was thrown at fabianski in net but didn't quite make it.

Did anyone do a quick hubcap count in the general area afterwards? I know they are Everton but let's not forget they are still scousers.

That must still have been one hell of a throw since they scored at the North Bank end

Well they wouldn't be so daft as to throw it at their own keeper, or would they?
a couple of pints in the Rocket before the match
the crowd was really up for it
stood in the sunshine the whole match
4 goals to celebrate (5 if you count the disallowed penalty )
really good to see the team celebrate - you could tell this win meant a lot to them
I have been a bit critical in recent months but Saturday was a day to savour.
now lets get behind the team and look forward to the "merry month of May"

No, but he was at their end when they scored
Anyway, no room for this continental style shite in English football. Drums, megaphones and flares can stay across the channel
I can only hope that we will hear this if we make it to the FA Cup.
'I just wanted to say thank you to the Arsenal fans for their great support of me over the years, but this will be my last game in charge' - Arsene Wenger 2014.
It would be a fitting end and ensures that he leaves on a pretty high note.

Dream on, the BBQ is coming! 3 more years!
Bangers and burgers are coming.
After the 1000th game, I'll pass the lighter fluid to my old mate Rodders........oops, best not....he'll drink it when he hears There's Only One will still be the manager in 2017
he actually played very well on Saturday.
Chesney has a habit of bottling the big games anyway - I am thinking the 2011 League Cup final, v Bayern Munich, Euro 2012...
