As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

1. Do you get a seat allocated or do you have to turn up early for first come, first served
2. If you do need to get there early does that mean 2 hours of fuck all happening other than buying their pissy overpriced beer and crap food?
3. If its like the live screenings in club level is it TV straight off afterwards and the bars close
If they sort this out with some ex-players present, a bit of entertainment, beer being allowed in the seats etc, it could be a decent day
Not clear from the site if its allocated seating but they did say its screens on the pitch. So that means no drinking during the game unless you go to the bar, no change for club level there then!
You know the score with food and beer. Kids on min wage who cant pour a pint or flip a burger to save their lives!
Lets face it the beer bit is important. Surely its only FA rules that you can't drink at a live event i.e. a Premiership / FA Cup match. We can drink beer watching a screen in club level when its being beamed back but not in a seat outside doing the same thing?
I believe it is specifically having / drinking alcohol while being able to see the pitch (or some such wording on the license) as I was up at Carrow Road in the players lounge last season while they had a youth game on and no alcohol was to go behind the curtain, where the pitch was visable.
It affects all live matches, not just premiership - not sure how a screening would be classified as it is not live on the pitch.
Imagine being to told to sit down and stop singing by a steward at a cup final screening

I was at the Grove for a Springsteen concert...fairly sure people were drinking ON the pitch for that one!

Nice of you to take the thread even more off topic. Seeing as you are one of wengers/gazidis vocal critics I take it you'll be leading the protest today?

I thought the protest was a different thread
Come on Steve. I would have thought a man of your stature could plan something that is better than the geordies effort yesterday. I mean what is the world coming too if we cant even match the toon army for whingeing.

Don't go to games and don't give the club your money. Its the only effective means of protest. Kroenke won't even be there and is the root cause of our problems. Stop making him richer
Some of us of course actually have the balls to see that through and if that means personal sacrifices like not being able to go to cup finals because you are no longer a ST holder then so be it
Stop feeding the beast and you'll get a response. Do some form of march, banner, chanting and then cough up your £62 and it will be completely ineffective

Im a gooner first, agendas don't come into play for me. Yes I want wenger out but staying away only gives another fan a chance to get in ahead of me.
Do you think the club are trembling in their boots at you/other gooners actually seeing through their threats and not spending money at the emirates? Its pointless and fruitless unless you think out how you protest and make sure you have maximum impact. As I said on the WBA protest thread, the anger from the stands in the first game vs villa had more of an impact at all levels than the sum total of the rubbish that happens at bear roundabout.
One man owns 67% of the shares and doesn't attend games. His loyalty extends to how much he can make out of you and how much he can sell to the next buyer for.
The line "someone else will take my place" sums up the lack of determination. You sound like the guy who moans about politicians expenses and the state of the country and when asked who he voted for says "I didn't bother, what's the point"
The fucking point is that it starts somewhere and if 60000 people didn't buy tickets they'd be forced to listen. The ST waiting list has already fallen dramatically and the desperation to replace club level ST holders last year was obvious. Someone needs to take the lead. It will take time but eventually more people will see sense. There are far more empty seats now than when the bowl opened 8 years ago

Its not a lack of determination, its a fact. Something you cannot change unless you live in a utopian world. The reality is that 90% of gooners will only give up season tickets primarily for financial reasons (I know a lot that have). The season ticket waiting list was bloated due to pent up demand from Highbury and the relative success of the team on the pitch, thats what happens with most football clubs when they go from winning things to not winning things.
Your political analogy makes me laugh, I have taken up my right to vote since I was 18. Quite what relevance that has to the discussion unless you are a communist is beyond me (which I am anything but).
Someone at Arsenal has been number crunching, and they still think that they can get away with a 3% increase in season tickets even with lower take up and a dwindling waiting list.
You blow soo much hot air on here sometimes, that if you actually channelled that into a significant protest against the hierarchy rather than a pip squeak "I am not giving the club my money" we might actually see better protests ala Newcastle yesterday. I would be happy to join something that has more conviction than bashing a keyboard from home.

52000 Geordies with banners saying 'Cockney mafia out' and walking out on 69 minutes having already all bought a replica shirt, a match ticket, programme, food and drink at the last home game of the season !
Fuck me I bet Ashley is quaking in his boots.
With all my hot air, and you pissing on the chips of those protesting today, I take it you have all the answers my friend.....so please, we're all ears. I had mine, but its obviously utopian and ineffective so we're waiting for your word....

I love it how you go on the defensive as soon as someone questions your opinions, is Putin a hero of yours .
If you read my responses to your rants you would see I am happy to join in protests that will actually make an impact. Did you see the look on Pardews face yesterday, he had to take it in the neck big time. As for Ashley you get the impression he could squirm out of anything, he is after all very rich for a reason.
I'm getting ready now, going out for a few beers pre match and starting to plan for the big day in a few weeks time. You on the other hand can enjoy your Sunday, contributing to the wenger out thread, what a sad life!
