Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A rival protest was something I feared but so what? It won't change what we need to do.

We were never going to get anything like 100% approval or 100% of people joining us so we have to be prepared for dissent.

A few people have made the point that we have to try to avoid too much foul language and remain respectful tomorrow night. This is even more important now as Wenger supporters will be looking for any chance to put us down. AKBs / stewards / police - they'll all be watching us.

Even though it might hurt many people to do this and may not feel natural, we have to keep it clean so that nobody can sneer at us.

It's taken so long just to get to this point so let's not shoot ourselves in the foot. That's what Wenger specialises in after all . . . .

Sean wrote:I'm looking forward to going tomorrow  There hasn't been much anticipation involving the club for the past decade, so it's nice to feel something positive for a change, whilst the shitcunts and pansies who wear the shirt play a dead rubber in a competition we can never win under the current regime.

I hope to pop into The Gunners for a pint (Just the one 8) ) if there's time or any room in there. Bollocks to this supposed counter-march. I look forward to rubbing shoulders with some of you from here. Shame there's no meet and greet, but it will feel good just to be with fellow WOBs who love the Arsenal and hate what has happened to it in the last decade under The Old Fraud.

He only has 86 days on his contract left, yet somehow he's in a stronger position that anyone else would be with a contract running down and a decade of failure behind them. Here's hoping that tomorrow is the first step in making that undeserved renewal impossible. Shame on the club for offering him a new deal anyway and then letting him drag it out all this time and contribute to yet another shite season. They could have let it end with his contract expiring - seeing as they'll never sack him and he'll never quit, but they've given TOF all the power again to decide what he wants to do with our club. Scumbags.

I'm assuming the protest will break up soon after kick-off. I may watch the game in a local if I can be arsed, or just head home.

We want our Arsenal back! :barscarf:
Nice one Sean. Look forward to seeing you there mate.

I'll have 3 banners with me so I'll welcome any help to carry & display them.

Too right

Just been in dialogue with retro over behaviour flyer as he posted earlier, and I'm picking them up

I think the core of us need to meet/make contact just before 6 and use these to brief people as they arrive on the ground rules as we give out some flyers , you can PM me on my alt e mail phone numbers with your name and a contact number

Good idea Pete - I'll PM you my details so that we can meet up beforehand. If a few us get together before 6 we can help to get things going and try to keep everything together.

Guys as said before i can't make it due to a prior arrangement but seriously good luck to you all make it loud and proud, get our Arsenal back one protest at a time :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Oh and if turn out is reasonable lets get some videos posted early on FB, Twatter whatever, it may attract those to join in the protest who are waiting to see how it goes as you reach the ground and also so those unable to attend can see (i still don't trust the media to give you air time), cheers all, stay safe

Great work from everyone involved in this. I am sure we all appreciate the effort many of you are putting in that is going further than just turning up.

I know 6pm is the start time. That's gonna be too early for me but I hope to be there no later than 6:45pm with a few old mates. Anyone know roughly what time the walk away from the ground to that soulless monstrosity will start?

Plan is to leave about half 6, so maybe pick us up by Arsenal tube or the Bridge over to the Shamirates.

It has to be a success. Every futile protest makes the Wenger out faction look small.

Although I dont believe its about sentiment, I think its about planning and action. The more organized protest are, the more visible they became.

Just leaving for work, won't be home until 6.45 PM ...Then onto social media to support the march anyway I can..Have SSN on record from 6pm in the hope the march gets publicity.
Best of everything to those taking part, I admire and support you and am a bit jealous of you also..
I would urge that it is clean and dignified, it may not be easy in the face of provocation..
Today I am carefully wishing that the club I have supported since 1972 become competitive again. That can only begin with change .
Thought I heard Chelsea fans sing "you're not West Ham anymore" last night...could have misheard but it is sadly an appropriate song for Arsenal also..
