I reckon our Free transfer and a few middle of the road wannabees or neverweregonnabees is our lot and it will be the same tired old excuses, we worked night and day 24/8but no-one who was the right fit was available and unfortunately Sanchez had to go because of his disruptive nature and outrageous demands

Remember I was one of the few, all the way through the protests and the media speculation, that said nothing would change because Wenger's position was unassailable due to the be-wigged cúnt that owns us (and got slated for being realistic).

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is working on potential deals for three France internationals as he prepares for some major departures. Monaco's 18-year-old striker Kylian Mbappe, his 21-year-old team-mate Thomas Lemar and Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, 26, are all targets. (Daily Telegraph)
And we're off to a flyer today - that's £200m of players right there.

What started off as a kind of off-the-cuff outlandish aphorism, has now turned into a sick and very real possibility tbh.

Jesus, this club will be long dead to me if he does stay until May 2025...

Although on the other hand he'll still only be 75, so I'm guessing about another decade ( maybe even two ) as Honorary President for Life in the Boardroom beckons...

No, director of football? I don't know what it means," he said last month.
"Is it someone who stands on the road and directs the players left and right? I never understand what it means, director of football.
I'm manager of Arsenal and as long as I am manager I will decide what happens on the technical front. That's it."
True to his word he has won!

They have actually edited that page. The original article on that page had no qualification of the role and had Wenger advocating a Director of Football. I know this because I looked it up a few months ago when he came out with that "I don't know what a Director of Football means" shite.

Now the club have taken out some of his quotes and added this little qualification; "* It is important to note that no job title has been specified. Therefore the label 'Director of Football' is being used as a blanket term for this type of role.".

The actual original quote from Wenger in 2007 was;
"There will definitely be a director of football coming and it will definitely be my choice. That is something I will be looking at soon. At the moment I am doing both jobs - the one that David Dein used to do and my own. I was in a good position before because I would handle the football side and David would do the ugly stuff, the business. Now it's all down to me. It's difficult because that side of it is very time-consuming."
https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2007/04 ... 0-arsenal/
So he appears to have had no problem understanding what a Director of Football meant back in 2007, but somehow not in 2017. And they actually changed his quote on the fucking website the pathetic bastards!

Oh, and I credit arsenal.com as the source of some of the quoted information above.

The club - OUR Club has been stolen from beneath our noses - There are things I now wish upon Wenger, Kroenke and Gazidis that I never thought I would ever do to anyone other than Paedo's etc.
BBC Website:
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said the Gunners can have Lacazette if they sell them France striker Olivier Giroud in a player-plus-cash deal worth £60m.
Oh! Yes PLEASE! You can also have Ramsey, Walcott AND Cech....at no extra cost!.
