As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I knew there would be some on here who although claiming to be Wenger Out's would also start beeatching & moaning about the new manager regardless of who was appointed. But FFS! Unai Emery hasn't even tried doing up the zip on his quaker yet and people are already dismissing him. Inferring by the rumours of signings/non-signings, what players might stay or go and what he appears to have not yet done (though they have No Idea what's going on behind the sceenes at Arsenal) why people cannot have the sense, intelligence and patience to wait and see how things begin and evolve is beyond me.
The FACT that we have had to endure at least 10 seasons of incompetence from a manager and board - that drove many to despair and turn away from the club because of the in-action of manager & board, along with the numerous humiliations against teams we were supposed to be competing with and yet we have a new manager that admittedly has come as a surprise to many, who just might be the first installment over the next 10 years to see the club turn its fortunes around and get back in the fight for trophies and success and actually re-kindle the love we all used to feel for our club and the team and the game itself.
For a new manager to take over what is a mess and even begin to re-shape and improve things in the first season will be an achievement...
Give Him "Time" and maybe just maybe he will surprise us all. Time will indeed tell.

I mean it’s not like they’re wishing anyone dead is it (irony) so let everyone have theirs like we put up with yours.

Abso fuckin lutely!
The mad old *word censored* has gone. There's nothing to moan about. Get fucking used to it and FFS cheer the fuck up!
International football is a different kettle of fish. Ramsey looked great for Wales because (a) Wales are one of relatively few international sides who are very stable in terms of formation, tactics and personnel; and (b) the standard of international football is not great. There are a few very good sides in Europe, a few good sides and then you're into the likes of Wales and Ireland.
Ramsey isn't good enough to play that attacking midfield role for us. He just isn't anywhere near creative or technically good enough. His best role is the Lampard role - box-to-box in the sense of popping up to get on the end of balls at the right time (rather than in the dynamic Vieira/Yaya Toure (of old) way). That's the role he was playing 2013/14. Say what you like about Lampard, but he had a fucking brilliant career for a bloke with an average amount of talent.
The problem is that he seems to have been allowed to play the role he wants. Sometimes he likes dropping deep and getting on the ball far too much, like Fabregas used to. He's not a quarterback or a playmaker. Other times he likes fucking about with these flicks and dicking about, like he's some mercurial genius.

There is a difference between opinions and just moaning like bitches, instead of putting forward some kind of argument... also what I said is an 'opinion'... (oh the irony).
The appointment has been made now and regardless of what any and all of us may feel and think, he is in place and so we need to give him a chance and get behind him, if it all goes tits up, at least we can say we gave him our support. It is easier to be negative than it is to be positive. And as the Mod Ooompah Lumpaah rightly said the players need to be given the opportunity to prove themselves under the new manager, we all know that wenger molly coddled them and they have had an easy ride for far too long.

2 players signed at an average age of 32, we don't just need a new medical team we need Jesus to bring these fuckers back
#buildingforthefuture
id rather have a team of 32 year olds who know their job and are right up for it than a bunch of kids with 'potential' that in a few years end up playing for halifax or kilmarnock

Wait till those 32 year olds come from average leagues to play in the most physical and fast paced league in the world then you won't be so happy.
Btw where did I advocate having kids with potential?
I want us to buy players between the age of 23-28 who are already proven and of top quality, not a big ask for a team that is 6th richest in the world is it
Edit
We might of well as got Sam who ate all the pies in to manage us because he was great at snapping up once quality players that were past their best but still offered something, no
I thought that it has been universally accepted that emery is not involved in player purchases ? Signing a 34 year old full back probably has zilch to do with him so discussing it on this thread seems redundant to me
I’m still amazed that some people can’t grasp the fact that Arsenal FC may be worth a lot but they don’t have much money to spend. Wonga sucked the club dry so it’s no use being like a council house kid who wants a new bike, PlayStation 8 and an iphone 10+ for Christmas, you’re gonna get a Satsuma and your cousins knackered old Raleigh!!
