Maybe Eisfield will return if he improves. Unfortunately our youth record has been somewhat abysmal. Lupoli, Aliadiere, Merida, Harper and a bunch of barcelona youths we stole amongst many.

I'm very relaxed/content at the moment, I mean, we've already signed 3 players (Ospina announcement pending) before August - when was the last time we've done so much this early?

Also, I'm resigned to the fact we're not getting another striker as Wenger's more or less confirmed this. In all likelihood, that means we're focusing solely on bringing in a DM (hopefully) and the windows still open for over a month.

We've secured status quo. Another exciting season beckons. Does what we have signed give you any hope whatsoever about facing Abramowich Fc away, oilfields athletic away or Manure.

Me no still expect to lose,maybe respectable score lines but lose nonetheless.

A proper DM would possibly give us some cojones against the big boys here and in Europe, a proper striker would take half the chances we waste. bender,Schneiderlin, Higgy,Falcao,just 4 names that would make me be interested in our season not being groundhog day again.

Sadly none of the above will happen so I will look forward to 3rd round of the Capital One cup and the Fa cup. Champions league will lose my interest in the 3rd week of November as we field a weakened team and come 2nd and inevitably draw Real/Bayern/Barca in the next round. I am already having 'mares of drawing Real and having to face Rodriguez,monkey boy,Ladyboy all running at out DM light back 4.

My sentiments exactly. We have done the bare minimum and that is what we are hoping for- 4th.

Is this move permanent or a loan one,hope it's the latter as I liked him and like Gnabry, I didn't think he got a fair crack here. At least Gnabry is only a loan.

Sorry just read your post properly. That's ridiculous,it should be a loan. We ship a decent youth player out and yet kept Barry for 8yrs

Now, I know I am dreaming here but - why are we actually not going in for Cavani? Wenger has good links at PSG, the player wants to leave, he is off the back of a poor world cup which may make him more attainable. It would pay for itself in shirt sale ffs!

Seems especially harsh when you think how long young players like Sanchez Watt were on our books whilst being shipped out on loan.

Gnabry really impressed me last year - fast, strong and direct. A basic but lethal combination. I know he was injured intermittently last year but I thought he was unlucky not to feature again. He should be playing first team football, did someone say he's already been loaned out?

Lol. People just love a moan on here. Eisfeld is a decent talent at best, was never ever making it here with the plethora of superior talent we already possess in his position. Hilarious.

I've just watched a youtube clip of Ospina (we all know this is the best way to judge a player )

It was apparently his best saves of 2013-14. I honestly thought that the ball seems to bounce off him too much and he never really looks in control. He frequently deflects the ball back into play and then seems to need a second bite of the cherry to finally avert the danger. He won't get that second chance in the prem as the ball will be lodged nicely in the back of the net before he has his arse off the ground following the first shot!

He's a bit like the goalie on FIFA 2010. That little fucker kept doing that causing me to lose no end of games.
