Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just a thought!

It was a game that we were always going to lose anyway - so to lose so heavily was probably the best thing that could have happened to us.....
I mentioned this earlier to Flash, but he poo-poo'd this notion of mine..
Got to admit MK i was thinking that as the sixth goal went i. But then i realised if it were true then wenger made a twat of himself by signing and developing those players in the first place, contradicting his own philosphy. Also, funny how quickly we got rid of traore. Its only taken 2 years them within 24 hours of being part of the worse arsenal defence he's gone.

Source?
Lots of tweets saying we've agreed a deal @ £14M
SSN just claimed the deal is now off. what the f**k is going on over there?
Cue confirmation of Mertersacker?!?!?!
They said his medical is currently in progress.

For once I'm excited about the transfer window, shame it has taken us this long to finally get our ass in gear in regards to our dealings. Maybe the 8-2 thrashing could prove to be a turning point? who knows...

If you remember Irish Gooner I broke that we had bid for him last week. I have a pretty good contact close to him. I was told personal terms were done.

Would cahill join as back up to tv5 and mertesacker ? Is 14m too much to blow on a back up when we have other positions to address as well ?
