Can't say I'm surprised he only signed Cech, said as much, another wasted Summer.

Jim's job is to make something out of nothing, and he even failed that yesterday. Ably assisted by Kate " Im trying to look sultry" Abdo , the show was a damp sqib, TH14 contradicted himself by defending Wenger and then saying the squad isn't good enough. Jamie "I'm castrating myself with my trousers " Redknapp was as annoying as ever. When the reporter at Upton Park said there may be one late departure from West Ham Jamie squeaked "is it Berahino?"DB10GOONER wrote:Okay, so did we sign anyone?![]()

Lads, a number of oppo fans are allowed on here because a lot of our regulars like to get a bit of perspective from other clubs' fans. We keep a very close eye on them and if they take the piss (beyond reasonable banter) they get banned. Derek hasn't done that. He crossed the line (innocently, I believe) once after a NLD and got a 7 day "rest"Derek Acorah wrote:I honestly think you are getting me mixed up with someone else, chap? ONCE I've been in trouble for my comment in the post-Spurs thread - which was a bit of banter. The mod warned me and I apologised.
Anyway, enjoy your evening. No hard feelings.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
I genuinely believed we would sign someone. Whether we would sign exactly what we needed was another story. I am absolutely disgusted with the mismanagement of the club and the settling for 4th. I don't mind us not winning the league but at least give urself the best chance possible.
Any chance of dropping ticket prices coz the money is obviously not used
A joke of a club managed by the biggest egomaniac ***** stain in football.

I would have thought that those that are desperate for our manager to be sacked/leave/burst into flames, this is the best thing that could happen.
Another season of signing nobody and failing as a result. There's only so long it can continue before even the most loyal board members have to do something. I actually think that it will be the end of this season.

we have settled for 4th for so many years now that the only surprise is that people still genuinely think that the club wants to try and push on and win the title. we don't and the ambition of many at board level are as much to blame as Wenger. at any other top club don't forget Wenger would have been sacked years ago.Peeman wrote:I genuinely believed we would sign someone. your point about the tickets prices is the thing that increasingly gets me though - my view is now this, if Wenger considers that he is not prepared to spend £50 million on Cavani to score the team goals then I am not prepared to spend £50 on a ticket to watch us play Stoke City.

But that would mean you attending 250,000,000 times to pay Cavanis transfer feeGunner Rob wrote: my view is now this, if Wenger considers that he is not prepared to spend £50 million on Cavani to score the team goals then I am not prepared to spend £50 on a ticket to watch us play Stoke City.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
Read this morning Arsenal refused to pay £50m for Cavani because there is no sell on gain as he's 28 years old. WTF...there's no winning titles and European cups without goals. We can see what the club value more and it certainly isn't winning League titles and European cups. He has to do business in January if we are in with a shout of either, when the prices are likely to be higher.

attention will have turned to finishing in the top 4.....which is so important......so that we can attract the top stars to join us.....yeah right.......

Never ever in with a shout of winning either while that *word censored* remains in chargeNos89 wrote:Read this morning Arsenal refused to pay £50m for Cavani because there is no sell on gain as he's 28 years old. I don’t actually mind refusing to pay £50m for Cavani; but I do mind not spending anything when we are really short up front and in defensive midfield.Nos89 wrote:Read this morning Arsenal refused to pay £50m for Cavani because there is no sell on gain as he's 28 years old. Just because Cavani might have been too expensive it doesn’t mean you throw your toys out of the pram and say: “fuck it, it’s my money and I’m taking it home”.
The clubs ambition has been demonstrated for all to see in this window; i.e. none whatsoever.

Maybe but it depends on certain things -
1. Us failing and tbh I dont see that happening - it is a long time since I have looked at the scum and the victims and be able to say with certainty that they will not finish above us, so I think that we are locked in for top 4

2. Board priority is profits and finishing top 4 and the upcoming new tv deal will ensure that the wonga continues to flow in

3. Too many braindead c.unts continue to spout dogshite and defend le cock - I think that some turned yesterday, but it will take a lot more to wake up and smell the coffee

Spuddy I think we almost all are hopefull, but theres been way too many false dawns. Was hoping the banner/ Stoke would light the flame, but no. almost every season theres a maybe maybe but it just doesnt happenSPUDMASHER wrote:I would have thought that those that are desperate for our manager to be sacked/leave/burst into flames, this is the best thing that could happen.

Only 5th place or lower with an exodus of Ozil and Alexis could possibly do it, just cant see it happening. Terrible really.
Additionally the media look and think (If they are capable) what a spoilt load of lemons enjoying the CL matches and 4th place, you could be Villa Sunderland or ... .... ... Leeds.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
Think someone might have posted this before, but you can be sure if we are in danger of dropping out of the top 4 around January ,he will buy players then.He will buy players to make sure of top 4 but won't buy players to challenge for the league.
