Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
26 goals in 36 games for Milan during a 2 year stint, in which his club struggled, suggests a developing consistency.
He is a nutter, but he is exceptionally talented. If the price was right I'd be tempted to go for it. They're few world class forwards available and he wouldn't make us a worse team or prevent us from signing Lewandowski or Falcao.
Providing we can still sign a DM of course.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
I'm not offended at all, nor do I think Jack is world class. BUT he has the ability to be world class and where it not for his glass ankles we may well have seen a totally different player. Brady is the only Irish player who was close to world class, the rest where journeymen, some Arsenal men, others chose to move on.DB10GOONER wrote:Christ. What the fuck is your major malfunction? Are you that mortally offended that not everyone thinks Jack is world class (yet anyway) that you resort to bringing nationality into it? Why?nut flush gooner wrote:Love it, last year it was Ramsey this year Wilshire.goonersid wrote:I can just see it now, little Jackie Wilshite bossing the midfield, riding challenges and emptying opposition midfielders, then nipping outside for a fag at halftime, before returning to seal the win with a charging run and finish. one jackie wilshite there only one jackie wilshite![]()

What is it with you oirish gooners. Why dont we start looking at shitty paddy arsenal players. The first in a very long line is Eddie McGoldrick !
Oh, and you do realise Ramsey is not English, right?
My original post was a bit tongue in cheek, but mehhh if it offended you I am sorry, honest guv.

Yep, he's a prick but he's closer to the truth in Spain than most.Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague
Little break from holidays: rubbish story about Messi and Arsenal which surely nobody believed. Plus Casillas + Khedira not wanted by Wenger

The Khedira rumour was feasible, the Casillas rumour was preposterous and the Messi rumour was insane.kiwomya wrote:Yep, he's a prick but he's closer to the truth in Spain than most.Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague

Probably all true but it's hardly in the know is it.
AW already said this week that he doesn't want a DM and is trialling Jack.
No one but sad scum fans and12yr old gooners believed the Messi LOB and as Ospina is already in the bag who in their right mind would tie up £100K a week wages on a 3rd choice keeper that's not needed, when we need other players.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Personally I'd love to see balotelli. As long as we still got a new dm as well.

Glad to hear. Means we finally have 2 keepers that we can trust. Ches will get better with the challenge and if he doesn't then stop forward Ospina and we are good to go.
If only we could get an actual DM and not a virtual(that word again) one in Jack. That plus a defender and I'd suggest things might be a lot calmer around here.

All the talk of needing a DM ,but centre back is another area we are very weak in ,we all know wht the 1st choice pairing is going to be ,but our back ups are tv5( if he doesnt leave) and Miguel tht scares the shit out of me .we need another major signing there

I also think LB is another weakness which is being ignored. Gibbs is too injury prone to be our number 1 and Moreal, whilst an ok left back, isn't going to with us the league.mcdowell42 wrote:All the talk of needing a DM ,but centre back is another area we are very weak in ,we all know wht the 1st choice pairing is going to be ,but our back ups are tv5( if he doesnt leave) and Miguel tht scares the shit out of me .we need another major signing there

Off topic but for some reason, my ex used to fancy Ballbag.topgoon wrote:northbank123 wrote:The Khedira rumour was feasible, the Casillas rumour was preposterous and the Messi rumour was insane.kiwomya wrote:Yep, he's a prick but he's closer to the truth in Spain than most.Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague

Good thing I dumped her.
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
I've been hearing Wenger rates Hayden very highly and thinks he can be our 4th choice CB.mcdowell42 wrote:All the talk of needing a DM ,but centre back is another area we are very weak in ,we all know wht the 1st choice pairing is going to be ,but our back ups are tv5( if he doesnt leave) and Miguel tht scares the shit out of me .we need another major signing there
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Judging from Wenger's comments about playing Jack in the holding mid position seems he isn't after a DM. Very worrying but tragically predictable.

For some reason the Krauts at kicker.de are reporting that we're after Calum Chambers and that Wenger's dropped his interest in Khedira.

Is Callum any better than Jenko?SydneyGooner wrote:For some reason the Krauts at kicker.de are reporting that we're after Calum Chambers and that Wenger's dropped his interest in Khedira.
