Why do you guys like to play these sick jokes on the rest of us

Not only are you teasing us with reports of Melo, you also expect us to believe Eboue is going as part of the deal
We support Arsenal so are by now well aware such good things don't happen to us in the transfer market
Unlike a lot of you, I don't think Ade staying would be the worst thing for us. We need to sort out the lack of a DMF and perhaps one more new CD before we need to panic about the forward line.

Wenger delight as Van Persie pledges his future to Arsenal
By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 7:43 PM on 04th July 2009
Robin van Persie will sign a new five-year deal with Arsenal in the next few days worth £80,000 a week.
The Dutch striker is poised to become the key player in Arsene Wenger's re-building efforts, with William Gallas and Emmanuel Adebayor the most likely to depart.
Van Persie has been Wenger's priority signing and returns for pre-season training with the new deal agreed verbally.
With teenagers Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs all signing long-term deals and Thomas Vermaelen joining from Ajax for 10million, Wenger is close to completing his summer business.
Arsenal are keen to discuss a contract extension with Cesc Fabregas - and would consider bids for Adebayor and Gallas if AC Milan and Inter respectively make offers for them.
Wenger is still monitoring a striker and a defender in case either player agrees to move.

AC Milan to offer £20m for Emmanuel Adebayor
By Paul Smith 5/07/2009
AC Milan are ready to offer £20million cash plus Mathieu Flamini for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Manager Arsene Wenger wants to resolve Adebayor's future at the Emirates before launching his own summer recruitment spree.
Milan and neighbours Inter are both keen to sign the 25 year-old striker. AC hope offering Flamini a return to the Gunners will help clinch a deal. He left Arsenal last summer as a free agent but Wenger may not be keen to inherit his Milan wages.

i would happily take the £20m for adebayor but i dont want flamini back. i would prefer melo to fill that position. flamini like adebayor had 1 good season in 4 or 5 years, decided to leave and found out like hleb the grass isnt greener elsewhere

. IMO melo looks a much better all round player than flamini and will also give us that physical presence in the center of the park

the good thing about supporting an english club and joining an english forum is that you get a taste of the famous british humour!
flamini + 20M for adebayor, and eboué + senderos for melo?
maybe inter milan would like diaby + silvestre for ibrahimovic as well??

Viola - Eboue a 'valid swap'
Fiorentina have claimed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to discuss the transfer of Felipe Melo after the Italian club stated Emmanuel Eboue would be a 'valid swap'.
The Viola recently confirmed that Melo's new contract extension holds a €25million (£21.4m) buy-out clause, sparking opinion that a deal could be in the offing.
Serie A rivals Juventus are said to be keen admirers of the Brazilian enforcer, but Fiorentina have intimated the Gunners are leading the chase for his signature.
Fiorentina appear interested in striking a deal that would involve wing-back Eboue, who is seeking regular first-team football in the new season.
Swap
"(Arsenal manager Arsene) Wenger wants to talk to me," said Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino to Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I have no objection also because Eboue seems a valid swap."
Corvino also rejected reports in Italy that Juve are poised to complete the transfer of Melo, who has explained that he is happy in Florence.
"In order for that (Melo to go to Juve) to happen, there needs to be a payment of €25million as stipulated in his release clause," he said.
"No club has made such an offer and there are no meetings arranged in the near future."
