What makes him such an abysmal signing is that he continues to get regular game time. People in defence of Wenger trot out players who Ferguson, Mourinho etc have signed who have turned out to be cack. Obviously not ideal, but everybody is going to sign a few flops if they're in the game long enough.

It would have been fucking annoying to have to write off the £11m but better to recoup £4-5m of it in the summer and cut our losses. Instead, FOrehead continues to play regularly.

How can anybody answer a criticism regarding Gervinho with Kleberson or Bebe and not see the difference? Gervinho will still be playing next year and has already played nearly 50 times for us, those two racked up less than half of that between them.

I'm not unhappy with this signing at all, we are crying out for a decent wide player with both pace and ability on the ball, and the reports from France are very encouraging.

I wasnt happy at first, but more i read the more i like. He has done better than Hazard the last 2 seasons tho eden is only 20

As for FrenchGun, he spends most of the thread eulogising about the bloke, of which this is a classic (probably coz of my great joke!! ) .....

Anyone who have watched "Ligue 1" this season would tell you Gervinho was easily in the top five of the best players in the league.

Although to be fair FrenchGun, that's the equivalent of being the fifth tallest person in Brazilian Gooner's family!!

I wonder why we haven't heard from him for a while?
