There was a march in Enfield that people are saying was part of the Spurs firm, plus other people.

Others will have to confirm if so.

Its a good idea. At the end of the day football rivalries can be set aside to protect your community and your livelihoods and your families and houses.

Exactly, this country is a complete joke and it wont change until the criminal justice system, education, immigration and the benefits sytem are completely overhauled. It's all wrong and the sum of all those parts has led to this completely isolated and fucked up young generation we see on the streets today. No respect, no fear, no morals.

I fear this is just the tip of the iceburg, but we're now starting to see overwhelming numbers of decent hard working residents starting to stand up for themselves. If the police and government dont handle this situation, you'll start to see the public taking the law into their own hands more and more, and that will only make matters worse.

This is the perfect opportunity for the current administration to sort out problems which have long stifled this country and at the same time gain huge support and respect from the voters. Whether they're strong enough to handle it amongst all the red tape and political correctness remains to be seen, but somehow I doubt it.

Seems to be calming down tonight (unless its just a lull caused by the extra police in London that will start off again when police numbers reduce) and already I'm hearing the same old shit from some people in the media with their "we really now need to listen to these people and understand their frustrations". Fuck right off, this fucking liberal pussy footing is exactly what has got us into this situation in the first place.

It was mentioned earlier about the fact that this kind of thing has happened on a smaller scale for years with little *word censored* disrespecting people and causing a nuisance knowing full well that no one can go out and give them a smack- these little bastards dont need to be "listened to", they dont need to be "understood", they need to be taught a severe lesson that a) if you step out of line you will get properly punished for it and b) that respect is earned. There is a growing scummy useless underclass- these arent "working class" people, they dont fucking work. Something needs to be done to tell these pricks that unless they start working, they cant expect anything from society.

This is an ideal opportunity to start getting tough with these bastards- public opinion is firmly against the scratters and in favour of the police for once. But will we start to hand out tougher punishments out to offenders or will we end up with more mealy mouthed politicians pretending to "listen to the youth"? Until it is accepted that if "parents" (or "parent") aren't prepared to teach their kids the basic values of decency and respect we need them to be taught it by other means, we will continue to have problems like this with jumped up, cocky little shits who listen to two 50 cent records and suddenly think they're "gangsta" running around as if no one can touch them because no one ever does. We don't need to set up committees or have vast consultations about the problems faced by inner city youths- we need to start putting some of these *word censored* in their fucking place and on their fucking arse

Its purely because they think they can get away with it and the sad thing is they can because the Police hands are tied by the Courts. You have seen it on Sky tonight with some macn kid saying "its showing them we can get away with it innit." When these type of people are taught by the justice system that you cant they will carry on.

Yeah it's a kind of "Benefits Class" who do not care for anything except immediate gratifcation and feel no connection with the rest of society.

The looters have to be dealt with hard, I agree.

But that is just lancing a boil.
If you do not tackle the cause of the boil, it can just keep coming back.

Stop handing out council flats to single mums, have a system to help people get into university without it costing the earth, and stop packing people into sink estates where the only local shops are an off licence, a bookies, a pub and a "supermarket" that sells quick fix food instead of decent meals.
And bring back school playing fields and some sort of National Service, whether it is Military or a Civil alternative such as cleaning up the dirty streets.
