Holloway originally had a pop nearly a fortnight ago as soon as he took over. A journo asked Wenger about Zaha, and he said there are a few players we're looking at, him no more than any others. Holloway isn't happy unless his quotes are splashed all over the newspapers, and tbf it was obviously mission accomplished as the original BBC report I said on it had in the first paragraph "£15m-rated Zaha....".g88ner wrote:To be fair to Wenger, I'm not sure he's said anything about Zaha at allaugie wrote:Holloway had a right go at Arsenal in his press conference today - he declared our public statements admiring Saha as very unprofessional. Of course he is wrong on this cos a club like ours that has complained and even reported other clubs for behaving in this manner in the past, wouldn't be so hypocritical as to publicly "tap up" a player under contract at another club would we ?![]()

in the press conference this morning, Wenger was asked directly about Zaha, and he basically said he's a good player, but wouldn't want to name names as to who are targets are. He gave nothing away whatsoever.
The gutter press are just being mischievous and setting Wenger up just as they did a few weeks ago with Holloway (again). Sadly, people keep falling for it hook, line and sinker
He's feeding his ego and trying to drive the price up in one fell swoop.
