Natalie's bongo's were great again this year transfer thread

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Of course he is wrong on this cos a club like ours that has complained and even reported other clubs for behaving in this manner in the past, wouldn't be so hypocritical as to publicly "tap up" a player under contract at another club would we ? :? :rubchin:
To be fair to Wenger, I'm not sure he's said anything about Zaha at all :? in the press conference this morning, Wenger was asked directly about Zaha, and he basically said he's a good player, but wouldn't want to name names as to who are targets are. He gave nothing away whatsoever.

The gutter press are just being mischievous and setting Wenger up just as they did a few weeks ago with Holloway (again). Sadly, people keep falling for it hook, line and sinker :?
Holloway originally had a pop nearly a fortnight ago as soon as he took over. A journo asked Wenger about Zaha, and he said there are a few players we're looking at, him no more than any others. Holloway isn't happy unless his quotes are splashed all over the newspapers, and tbf it was obviously mission accomplished as the original BBC report I said on it had in the first paragraph "£15m-rated Zaha....".

He's feeding his ego and trying to drive the price up in one fell swoop.

How can anyone say his hands are tied, we have just got a £150m cash injection plus £60-70m in the bank and then he comes out and says this.

But the answer is not always to spend - football is much deeper than that. Anyway we have many 'internal options'

We have super quality Craig Eastmond coming back in January and lets not forget Sanchez Watt to improve our goalscoring threat

More evidence on Arsenal.com of how busy we are going to be in the 'internal market' in January - Chuba Akpom who could join us very soon apparently! A young striker with lots of qualities with the one exception seemingly being the ability to finish.

“He has personality [and] he has quality,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.

“I wanted him to be with the first team, taste what it is [to be involved] in a Champions League game, and hopefully he will join us very quickly. It could happen very soon.

“He’s more a guy who likes to participate in the build up, a guy who is brave, a guy who makes good runs and is not a typical goal chaser.

“Where he must improve is to finish things off. But he creates for others, he creates for himself, and just needs to be a bit calmer for the finishing. That’s something he will get easily."

Chippy Jnr is desperate for him to start. He played DM against Akpom in a schools tourno a couple of years ago, so he'll be able to say he played against an Arsenal first teamer. 8) Says he was best player on the pitch by miles....

Before his injury Ramsey was Very Good and showed real Potential to be excellent...maybe it'll happen...But I just don't / can't see that happening as he has been the worst I have EVER seen him play...sad but true.
