My first Huntsman. Not an adult either.
Saw my first snake the other day - roadkill. Still a little too cold for them @ 20-23 degrees.
Seen loads of dolphins. Just waiting to see a big roo (insert joke here), shark and croc.

Don't worry about the Hunties, TL. Keep an eye out for the fucking Red Backs. Like OneBard Ewok they are tiny and highly venomous!

DB10.
You're right about those mate.
A couple of times I have sprayed fly/insect killer outside under the patio step. The small (size of a finger nail) bastards soon come out. I clear their webs and stamp on the fuckers.
I was helping clear out a mate's garden shed, big thing, like a garage. As we were pulling off the wooden panels the redbacks were dropping everywhere. We counted more than thirty. Each time I go out I now have a habit of banging my boots on the floor just to make sure there are none inside.
Also, there are spiny blowfish washed up on the beach, ultra poisonous tiny octopus andit's a matter of time before I get bitten or tread on something I shouldn't.
The sun actually burns, not like at home. At 23 degrees it actually cooks you. It's nowhere near summer yet.
Wouldn't swap it to return to old Blighty anytime soon though.
Wenger out.

When we were kids out there my folks were always on at us to watch out for the red backs. It became second nature to always hold your shoes upside down and give them a bang on the floor before putting them on.
RE the sun - move to Brisbane, mate. Sub tropical most year round. Beautiful climate.

Pool went in yesterday. Tanker filled the bugger up.
Spent today getting the creepy crawly to clean the sand and shit out of the pool, and filter is working fine.
Had a skinny dip, but cold. 19 degrees. Tomorrow it rains, FFS.

And, just to add insult to injury,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm fucking peeling.
BTW, how is the weather in good old Blighty?
