I don't think we done as badly as some are suggesting but some aspects of our performance today were very disappointing. So many players underperformed and went missing but despite that we still scored 3 and should have had a few more. Individual errors cost us the goals, if we're going to be that slack and not even track players back then any team will punish us and it's strange because we've been so good defensively this season.

Despite the negatives I think we can actually beat Chelsea and if we do then we're in a very good position. Haven't City already played Everton, Spurs, United and us at home and they have Liverpool at home next week? That means they've got to play away against all 5 clubs in the second half of the season so even if they do start to pull ahead of us I don't think all is lost. We do need a more clinical striker though, Giroud is very good and has helped the midfield flourish but you can't miss those kind of chances in a game like this and expect to get away with it.

Wanger Vs Maureen head to head history says no. They aren't great but will be champing at the bit to get stuck into us (which the ref will ignore), soak up pressure and hit us on the counter.

An absolutely must-win game against a manager Wanger can't beat, great.

Ozil on Facebook:
"Sorry I didn't thank the fans at the end of the game!

You have been brilliant to me and I know you had travelled a long way and spent your money to support us. I was upset with the result and know I should have come to you to say 'thank you' and I know it is a big Arsenal tradition win, lose or draw."

Think BFG was standing over him making him write that?

Have just watched that BFG with ozil clip and I have to say that it is an absolute, absolute disgrace that ozil behaved like that  I hadn't viewed the clip up to that point and had assumed that mert had made ozil go over and applaud the fans against his will, but now seeing that he still refused to go over has pissed me right off and if that is the way he is going to behave then he can fcuk right off :cussing:

Piss poor from Ozil especially after BFG telling him to go over there. I'm glad he's pissed off after we've shipped in 6 but when a senior player tells you to go and applaud the fans who've paid hundreds of pounds to come and watch you do that then you fucking do it.

I dont recall him applauding the fans at home or CArdiff when Ive seen them this season either :cussing:

Think he has a lot to mull over- BFG may well have been twisting something lower than his belly when he wrote that.

What sumed it up for me today was citys 4th goal, it was almost like "oh shit, we've just let arsenal back into it, we better go and score again" - pathetic defending.

Absolutely. And the other side of the coin was our thinking - after actually turning up and playing really well for 10 minutes as soon as we got back into the game we sat back and waited for them to come onto us again.

Strange really given his German roots. Acknowledging the fans is a must over there or all hell breaks loose

Car crash of a game...Hard to know where to begin or what to say... linesmen were a disgrace and the scheduling of the fixture was a disgrace but in honesty those excuses go no where near explaining why we conceded six. Felt backs were overloaded at times. City had to much room in the middle third, midfield didn't work hard enough (except Flamini) , manager is clueless . fuck it cant write anymore.

Passing - we were innacurate too often, was that tiredness?

Substitutions - I think at 3-2 and 4-2 down we had to chase the game and Flamini was having a poor game by his standards. Gnabry was good the few times he got the ball.

I would have subbed Wilshere too though, and put on Rosicky deep midfield.
We had Walcott, Ozil and Gnabry on together but they hardly got service.

Ramsey - No co-incidence we have looked less good as he has been carrying an injury.

Defence - our marking was poor, it accounted for two of their goals. I cannot explain it.

Walcott - Once again showed he is a big game player.

The Ref - denied a penalty when Walcott was through, and looked as if Bendtner's goal was OK, hard to be 100 percent from camera angle though.

Nasri - Seemed to initially console Walcott as they walked off the pitch, then it looked as if they had an argument with Theo saying angry words to Nasri? Love to know what was said.

I re-watched that second half and at 3-1 down we had 2 clear chances to score and a clear penalty opportunity before Theo scored a fantastic second. Include giroud scuffed cross to theo who wouldve had a tap in, and his offside goal, in that 15 minute period when we dominated we should have been at least 4-3 up before their 5th goal. Everyone looks at the defence but poor finishing and general attacking play by giroud cost us a win. Bendtner scored a good goal, clearly level and onside. City were dynamic but had we had a world class striker we would've done them.

Wenger's frustration at giroud was visible and if he wants to land this title he needs to land a world class striker of which, in my book there are only two that are available to play in the champions league as well...Suarez and Radamal Falcao.

I see th14 backing up ozil tonight on motd saying what he did wasn't a big deal....wouldnt have thought that he would have been as dismissive of the fans by saying that :o :x
