The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Did I hear wenger right this morning on ssn, he said there is not a player of welbecks quality available in the January transfer window

Got to say I can't defend that statement it's ludicrous, I like welbecks attitude but he's very average.

I also really like Welbeck's attitude and effort (and I'd love him to be a success with us just to sicken the red mancs) but he is even more average than Giroudzema and has none of Giroudzema's physical strength and presence.

You know, in all seriousness, for the rest of our season to have any hope, quite possibly the worst thing that could happen is Welbeck, Sanchez, Coq, Santi and Wilshere all returning from injury before the January window closes. Because you can bet your bollocks that Wenger will not sign the players we need if that happens. :(

Internal transfer market
Well thats us done for the transfer window as suspected ,all of the above will then encounter a setback on the 31st Jan and be out till next year !

Same old Arsenal taking the piss !
100% This ^.
Be very surprised if he spends any more money, was it £5million Elney, but got back £2million on Afobe to Bournemouth

£3 million spent of the £200 million war chest, Stan will be loving it :D
he'll be loving the fact we're funding his move of the st louis sheep or whatever the fuck they're called.
Yes another example of his understanding of sport

Well he's right. There isn't a player out there of Welbeck's quality available in this window that costs less than £5m. If you want real quality then you have to pay for it and he won't do that.

If we are after a striker in this window as back up, I'd suggest £10m bid for Dwight Gayle. When I've seen him play he reminds me of Ian Wright. I can see him fitting in and doing really well off the bench for us when we need something different.

The strikers available are probably fit and well and scoring goals. not good for our medical team, it will 'upset them.'
