SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Turned down the opportunity to attend on Sunday, on the grounds theres nothing new to see.
Also dithering (it must be an Arsenal trait) on purchasing a Villa ticket, just have no enthusiasm at the moment.

I agree with rodders - dont give a flying fcuk if we sign anybody or not anymore. Our time to sign players was a few weeks ago so that it would allow them time to bed into the squad and adapt to new tactics and formation (   ). What quality players are left to buy now ? If we sign anybody at this stage it will be 2nd or 3rd rate shite and we have enough of them as it is

Get rid of the c.unt in charge and then we can start again
Nice :D

Although conversly, that makes it easier for us to sign players later than other teams.

Arsene knows :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

On a side note, Arsenal could be in real trouble with the sale of Bale, if Spuds manage to get Di Maria and another player PLUS 50 odd million, they will spend it, they won't hesitate like Arsenal do. They look like signing Soldado now so that would leave them with about 25m to spend without having touched any more of their 'own' money. That would be three quality signings plus Paulinho. Yes they will have lost Bale but potentially become more of a 'team'.
If Arsene Wonga doesn't buy any quality, this could be the tightest battle yet for 4th.
Think you'll find they'll be putting a lrage quantity of that in the new ground pot. Spurs aren't foolish to blow that all on players. It'll fund the transport issues they've had. Plus losing Bale is catastrophic. He's up there with the best in the world.

Dont agree rigsby - the scum know that they will have a double reason to spend the majority of funds (1) to placate the fans who may doubt their ambitions (2) they already needed to spend to bridge that small gap between 4th and 5th in the league so they will have to speculate to accumulate or else the big new stadium wont mean nothing

manninger we don't need bernard, we need a striker, gk and dm as priorities.

i can only hope, that the lack of any invest is down to them waiting for CL qualification to be confirmed...i simple cannot think of any other reason unless of course they don't spend. whats happened to all this, 'we've learned from our mistakes, we want new signings to have a full pre-season' etc? all bollox. yet if this is the case and they are waiting for CL to be confirmed, how come tottenham don't have to wait, there not even in it and splashing the cash big time.

i'm so angry at whats happened and happening at our club, its being run into the ground when it could and should be so much more
