Surely it is just a point of principle, can you imagine Lord Fergal of Fergus reciprocating and flogging his best player to us? Wouldn't happen. Ffs for once dig your heels in (I know it's genetic to want to surrender) and tell them to bollocks.

Why not flog Sagna to the Spuds while you're at it?
Dont give the deluded old fool any ideas FFS :banghead:

The RVP off to manscum seems to be gathering pace - of course it could all be down to 1 or 2 journo's bored with the olympics etc...and enjoying winding some Gooners up....BUt:

To look on the positive/s - RVP having said he wasn't going to extend his contract AND what he claimed were his reasons - most players are only interested in moolah etc , so it's hard to know how genuine his reasons are....BUT it did seem to throw the proverbial used condom into the middle of the nuns prayer circle.... ....and then with Red & White Holdings issuing their letter of discontent....these two things alone - seemed to force the boards/wengers/kroenke's hand into signing cheques they may not have - had all been kept quiet...

But IF RVP does go to manure he deserves absolute dogs abuse....he surely knows how we feel about them....same with $hitty...also he can't claim money isn't part of it...even though he may cite trophies as his main reason....if he wants to go fine...but let him go abroad...if not - then let him ave it both barrels at every game he turns out against us.

I think we should that the money that they are suppose to be offering. He is an injury prone striker who gave us one good season. Let him head there and turn out to be one of those players that look back and regret not staying.

If he signs for them he is nothing but a **** after saying he loves the club and supporters

And yet still managed to become Arsenal's 8th highest ever scorer despite "only ever giving us one good season".

With Manchester City appearing to accept defeat in the race for the Arsenal striker, and Juventus baulking at the player’s wage demands, United are moving quickly to conclude a deal.
Their willingness to match the £220,000 a week wages earned by Rooney has tipped the balance in their favour. The financial rewards will be staggering for the 29-year-old Dutchman at Old Trafford, and somewhat unprecedented given the stage of Van Persie’s career.

Is it just me or does anybody else think that we've been so slow on this Sahin loan deal that somebody is going to come in and grab themselves a bargain for about £10m? Mourinho has made pretty clear he's not in his plans full stop from what I can read, and undoubtedly will let him go fairly cheap if somebody comes in with an offer ahead of loaning him out.
