SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Every time he opens his mouth, I really despair. Even at this stage I genuinely don't want to slag off the man that changed Arsenal in so many ways between 1998 and 2006. However his failure to accept his mistakes and change over the last few years has slowly turned so many fans against him. So an unproven 20 year old is the answer?
I should be far too old to let this man stress me out the way he does and ruin my summer but looks like he's fucking doing a good job again!! :(
mr wenger I would like to present to you exhibit A, a one Marouane Chamakh

Perhaps we are waiting until Champions League qualifiers are successfully negotiated until spending money, as per previous recent seasons.

And perhaps we should bring in some quality players to give us the best chance of getting through the qualifiers

BBC breakfast just said that Suarez was taking legal action to help him leave Liverpool.

If this is true, why is Suarez so desperate to leave Liverpool? I want him at Arsenal but his desperation is strange. Does he believe he can win trophies with us or does he just want to use us as a stepping stone? Anyway I don't see the latter as a problem, we can get two good seasons out of him and then sell him on.

I actually love this guy. He has sent RAWK into meltdown yet again with angry scousers claiming the BBC and "Arsenal's mouthpiece" ( ) David Ornstein have made it up to make sure it overshadows Gerrard's testimonial match.

Imagine playing with Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson every week, I'd be desperate to leave too.

I know, the lure of Ramsey and Giroud must be irresistable!!! Don't get me wrong, he's world class but if he has a stonking season with trophies(!!!) with us then he'll want away. If he has an RVP type season where he carries us but no silverware then guess what he'll want away. So I've consulted Mystic Meg and she's confirmed that in 12 months time we will, yet again, be selling our best player.

Makes sense.

1) Suarez joins Arsenal for £50m.
2) Suarez has a brilliant season, Arsenal finally win a trophy.
3) Suarez wants out, Arsenal sell for £60m.
4) £10m profit is made and Suarez's Reign of Terror, during which Yaya, Afobe and Akpom were "killed," is over.
5) Wenger triumphantly announces - "Suarez is gone, Sanogo is resurrected!"

Hmmm ... is this faith in Sanogo coming from the same man who told us he didn't need to replace Adebayor because he had a Robbie Fowler type striker called Carlos Vela?
