That is probably the worst game of the tournament so far.

Very poor game.

The quality of this world cup isnt up to germany 4 years ago. Very negative approach from most teams.

1 Ronaldo shot, plenty of Ronaldo diving.....that sums up the game.

I blame Mourinho for the current defensive counter attacking BS tactics we are seeing at the world cup.

Its very much a 'don't lose' mentality so far, second round of games will have to be better.

Why didn't they cross the corner in?

Thought exactly the same thing - I went from wanting them to get out of the group to thinking that the negative *word censored* dont deserve it
It is one thing trying to avoid losing but to have a corner deep in injury time and to not bother trying to score from it is an utter disgrace

No one wants to fully commit to an attacking game as they are too worried about conceeding a goal.

For example, look where Eto'o played yesterday, whoever gave Le Guen the idea Eto should play there :? . So just because they are too worried Japan might be the new South Korea of this world cup they take the cautious approach and it cost them in the end.

Only the teams who know their true qualities and are not afraid have gone for it and got there wins in the bag.

I think some of you are expecting too much....my memory of previous tournaments is that the World Cup only really gets going when we get to the knock out stage.....

Didn't Italy win the World Cup in 1982 having not won a game at the group stage....?

And didn't Argentina get knocked out in 2006 having looked like world beaters in their group...?
