However small the fee for Song was, better to shift the bad influences out of the squad. I don't for one minute believe the damage-limitation exercise from Dein.

Small fee ?? I think that we have absolutely screwed barca over by getting 15m for him :barscarf:

I agree that the Barcawhores overpaid for song, probably by £10 mil.
Perhaps there is an agreement that he will be part exchanged for Cazorla in two seasons?

 :D :D

We got rid of Alex Song for almost the price of a Santi Cazorla :barscarf:

Although getting good money for our players is about the only thing left that the club does well

I guess you're in the camp that never rated Song then, I thought he was an essential and much improved player last season despite a tendency to maraud at the worst of times.

£15m I suppose is a reasonable fee for any midfielder, I'm just thinking in terms of the length of his contract, the silly prices going around and the fact we need to shaft the Cuntalans for a change. I was hoping for £20m+ for him.

That said, I fully believe all the reports about the training ground issues - maybe not the argy-bargy with Wenger at London Colney but who knows! - and think if he's going to fuck about then better off shipping him out.

Touch wood, I can't ever see a character like Koscielny or Vermaelen doing that.

He's not been missed, the side look much better defensively without him.

Yet another player failing to refute the theory that all African footballers are mercenaries.

You could just have written 'footballers' and left it at that.
