Shezzas out mate, plus I'd play Bfg and diaby. But credit to Ramsey! He did well last week to be fair
agreed. i'd play diabyand the BFG only because i'd hate to take him out and then have a bad defensive game when he's been doing well. ramsey out, kos or verm out.
I think we're playing well and all but I have a sneaky feeling this is one of those let down games we have quite often. fans will be buzzing expecting a win, but i think 2-1 chavs is a real possibility. hope i'm wrong.

Koscielny is AWFUL Dear Lord
He had an awful game, but I wouldn't say he is awful. He is simply another grade B signing, like the rest of our centre halves, because we refuse to sign Grade A. He will look good against the lesser clubs and will always be found wanting against the top clubs. Same goes for Vermaelen, all of our goalkeepers, half of our midfield and I was going to say all of our strikers....but then I remembered.........they look shite against the lesser clubs too
It's not the end of the world (or season). So we lost and no clean sheet. And those 2 wimpish goals were by chance that Chelsea got lucky with. I mean Torres literally scored the first one off the back of Kos. He just worked an advantage around a player that should never have had his back turned away from an oncoming ball in the first place. The second goal, credit to Kos for the effort to block/stop the ball hitting the back of the net, just glanced off his leg for a ridiculous OG. Had defense really been in place, that wouldn't have happened.
Chelsea capitalised on our mistakes and mishaps Saturday. Just. All in all we weren't that bad as everyone likes to assume. We had a lot of shots that were target directed, but luck of the draw they didn't hit it. The effort was there.
We have a CL Weds. Due to Per not being in the team Sat. he well could be at Olympiakos. Get behind the team.
COYR!

There's always an excuse. The facts remain that yet again bad defending and an inability to take chances led to us losing. If this hadn't have been happening for the best part of 9 years now, I could understand it but it's the same story every time we lose to a rival. Always the fact that they got lucky and that really we are much better but had an off day. An off day that lasts for 9 seasons.
In light of our defeat to Chelsea and Wengers well directed finger pointing at our defence, is he actually taking a side -swipe at Steve Bould who has been picking up all the plaudits for our (to be honest) better than expected start to the season
Giroud is starting to worry me, but unlike others, I would say his positioal play is quite good but he really needs to do a whole lot better.

Yes, you better believe it, I alluded to this somewhere else, that I reckon that it was Wenger's decision to bring in the zonal system, I mean, has this system ever worked anywhere else in world football? We didn't start with this system when the defence was looking impressive, so why start meddling about with it, unless of course, Wenger was getting the hump with all the backslapping towards Bould, because he's an arrogant *word censored*.

Sorry mate, I wasn't trying to steal your thunder, I just haven't read the whole thread It did look to me like Bould was pointing sonething out to Wenger after the first goal.
LDB wrote:It's very simple, we lost that game because of the decision to drop Mertesacker.
Thats one reason. But I think there are others..........
Zonal defending
Vermalens Song-like disappearing
Koscielnys individual mistakes
Having no striker until 65 mins
No decent goalkeeping alternative to Shezza
No urgency to comeback
No plan B
Now I dont know how many of the above can be attributed to the board, Gazidis, Kronke, Man Shitty, Chelski, the ref, the constillation of the stars etc, etc but for me we lost that game cause we have a shit manager who has fucked us up the arse for years.

No squad or team is perfect and certainly ours has its share of shortcomings but I look at both chav goals and I don't see them being scored with Mertesacker on the pitch. Don't get me wrong, we were flat for large parts but still should have been good for a point if it weren't for the bizarre decision to drop our best defender.
Also have to give Pumpkin-head some credit. Came to us. Itentified the threat ie Santi and stifled him. They took their chances. Cant do much more really, three excellent points for them.
Thats not to excuse in any way the total incompetence of Wenker yet AGAIN.
